Smart, modern practice with excellent staff. I've seen 3 dentists and all have been careful and empathetic. A huge bonus is that they can offer sedation for more serious work - I've taken it once and it was worth every penny! It's pretty expensive overall, but then so are all the private dentists in Bath. It's a disgrace we have no NHS options, but in their absence I fully recommend Aqua Sulis (they have parking also!).
Ian is everything you could wish for in a dentist: kind, gentle, caring, and patient. He manages to put you at ease, and to explain everything you need to know in really simple terms, without making you feel like an idiot for not knowing already! I've moved quite a few times in my life, and seen a fair few dentists in different places, and honestly think he's one of the best I've ever met, if not the best. Highly recommended!
Dr Bellamy and the team have provided me with excellent care for over ten years now. I frequently work away from Bath and used to be nervous of major dental treatment. Since I moved to Aquae Sulis DentaI, I have met with great skill and knowledge from Dr Bellamy, as well as a real understanding of my concerns and flexibility with appointment scheduling, so I would very highly recommend.
I have been attending Aquae Sulis for at least 20 years, even though I have never lived in or near Bath. I followed my previous dentist when he moved here, claiming that it was probably the best dental practice in the southwest. In recent years I've been fortunate to have been looked after mainly by Ian Bellamy himself, who is a highly experienced and caring dentist. It's always a pleasure to visit because my dental problems are fixed promptly and expertly. Equally importantly, nothing is ever done unnecessarily, so I can be sure that the time and money are well-spent. All the other staff are also very good, especially Alistair, the dentist who made a great job of my recent urgent filling when Ian was away. Aquae Sulis is definitely the best dental practice in my experience.
After a sporting injury 10 years ago I've had to repeatedly have my front teeth repaired. I dread every trip to the dentist and have never really been that happy with the results. After years of stressful trips to the dentist with slightly disappointing results I decided to try a new dentist and tried Aquae Sulis - my experience couldn't have been more different. My dentist (Luke Mirza) was amazing from start to finish, making me feel comfortable and at ease. He was professional, yet not too formal which meant I could relax and not get too worked up like I usually do. The final result looked fantastic - so much better than any of the work I've had done since the injury. I've always been slightly self-conscious about these teeth but now they look as good as new! Trying a new dentist felt like a big risk at the time but I'm so glad I did, while I don't want to make dentist trips a regular thing, when I need to I'll be much happier going back to see Luke.
Being a nervous patient, I often put off going to the dentist for as long as possible. I was recommended Aquae Sulis by a friend and can say without a doubt, that after the first treatment all nerves were dispelled. Dr Luke Mirza (and team) is warm, friendly and you can tell he really takes pride in his work, whether it’s cosmetic or just a filling. For the first time ever I can honestly say I will be booking in again for my routine check-up with no nerves at all.
Ian Bellamy saw me when I was in pain and my current dentist would not give me an appointment for a week. He was reassuring, gentle and made the treatment of an infection and root filling needed far less painful! The practice is a very relaxing, bright and 'enjoyable' environment, with easy access and parking. The Reception staff were friendly and clearly part of a happy team. I received a call the next day to check on my condition. Relieved and grateful; I will be switching dentists!
I have experienced many dental issues over the years and last year I reluctantly conceded it was time to have my front tooth removed. I had very little bone left as well as a root filling. There was a hole in my gum and besides that there was very little gum left. Ian referred me to Gaston King who grafted a new gum line to perfection. I have been through three sets of temporary bridges and have just been fitted with a permanent porcelain set. Since my treatment started back in November I have had around 15 appointments at Aquae Sulis and have not dreaded any of them! There is a lot to be said for not dreading the dentist I think. You always pay what's quoted and there are no hidden extras. My new teeth look amazing, really natural. I cannot imagine ever changing dentists again. I have tried a few over the years and have never been truly happy with any of them. Good cosmetic dentists are hard to find and often when you find one you don't like them very much! Ian is very likeable and I knew I had made the right choice as soon as I met him. All of the staff are lovely and there's parking. What more could you want!
