   After having my van for three months—and carrying out a major engine repair—C&G returned it to me making awful noises as I drove. Throughout the time my van was with them, communication was extremely poor: updates were slow, explanations were unclear, and I had to go in several times just to find out what was happening. Because of this lack of communication and the worrying noises, I no longer trusted the work they had done and took my van to another mechanic. The new mechanic inspected the repair and found that the fuel injectors had been incorrectly coded and several fuel lines had been installed incorrectly, including one that was rubbing against a component it shouldn’t have been. In the short drive from C&G to the new garage, that line had already begun to sustain damage—an issue that could ultimately have been dangerous. They also discovered that the engine coolant had been overfilled. On top of these problems, C&G invoiced me far more than their original quote and did not respond when I asked them to cover the cost of the work required to fix their mistakes. I would have given only 1 star, but I’ve given 2 because they did take on my van during a busy summer period when other garages couldn’t. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would recommend avoiding them.
