   Tried to renew our insurance in early October but constantly told their computer system was down and they couldn't take payment, but they said we were still covered (really - nothing in writing to say this). Lots of rumours they have gone bust, and their website is now unavailable. I left them a 1-star review on Trust Pilot and Towergate denied I had ever had a policy with them. AVOID!

   Only getting a 1 star because there isn't a minus rating. Was told 2 weeks ago (Monday 17th June )to go ahead with repairs to our ceiling after a burst pipe and that settlement would be in my bank 3-5 working days. Called back Monday ( 24th June as payment wasn't in bank, told original assistant had not actioned the payment so would need to wait another 3-5 working days. Called back again today ( Monday 01st July ) as money still not in bank. Now being told that there is a problem with their accounts system and they can't pay anyone, furthermore they don't know when they will be able to pay anyone. I now have a very irate builder who is looking to be paid for work he did 10 days ago. This company need to get their act together and I will be getting in touch with the ombudsmen as I don't see why I should be left in this position due to Towergate's incompetence. Not happy and would strongly advise everyone not to use this company Alex. Caldwell , Bellsbank ( East Ayrshire )
