   Moving back to home (Edinburgh) after several years away, this time with a family, was always going to be a big transition. However, thankfully, securing a rental property was completely hassle-free, and that’s largely due to Cadzow. Right from the get-go, they made viewing the property easy and were incredibly helpful and efficient throughout the entire application process. Once we moved in, they went out of their way to ensure everything in the property was in order, which made settling in so much smoother. For that, I’m extremely grateful. I 100% recommend Cadzow

   AVOID THIS AGENCY- BOTH LANDLORDS AND TENANTS ALIKE A terrible agency, I had nothing but problems with them. I recently had to take them to the First Tier Tribunal as they evaded using a deposit scheme by charging “the last two months rent in advance” instead which is an illegal practice as it is essentially an unprotected deposit, worthy of a fine of up to 3x the deposit amount. They refused to return this money to me at the end of the tenancy and despite the many times they dismissed me when I highlighted the illegality of this practice, it was indeed found to be illegal in court and I was returned my deposit in full, plus compensation. It was, however, my landlord who was held liable for this, who had unfortunately trusted the “expertise” of this dodgy letting agent. This practice, however, seems to be standard for this agency, presumably as they can easily attempt to retain some or all of the unprotected deposit at their discretion, without the tenant being able to dispute it through a 3rd party deposit scheme. I had various other issues with them during my tenancy that displayed a pattern of negligence and lack of empathy for their tenants. They were very difficult to deal with, with poor communication, not answering direct questions posed to them and they were incredibly slow in actioning things, not carrying out several repairs raised to them, and blaming the pandemic for the holdup. They have no previous reviews as the agency have recently changed name from O’Neill- likely in an attempt escape their previous reputation.
