   AVOID !!!!!! Went to this company for help with a legal matter, after weeks of no contact I email and call a week before my trial no response until I kept calling and eventually got a email stating they are giving my case to another company. No idea who I was meaning and ended up with a useless “solicitor” who didn’t know his hand from his elbow!!! Thank you so much for your help !!! NOT !!!!!!

They were always in contact, keeping me up to date, helping on explaining next steps and simplifying the process.    We recently used Ewings & Co' conveyancing services to purchase our first home. Nick was brilliant; professional, reliable and trustworthy. He ensured that we understood what was happening at each stage and was happy to clarify any questions we had throughout the process. We were recommended Ewings by a friend and they more than delivered. The quote that we were originally given for the whole process was spot on and as a result, the final bill was exactly what we were expecting. No hidden fees or up-selling. They simply did what they promised. We completed on our property sale within 10 weeks which much exceeded our expectations. Do not bother to look elsewhere locally, these guys are the best around.    I contacted your office over five weeks ago, spoke to the Receptionist about my query and she tried to put me through to a Solicitor, but unfortunately could not as the lines were busy. I was told that she would speak to the Solicitor and get them to call me back and I have still not had a call back. The weirdest thing is that I should have known this would have happened because this is not the first time that Ewing's have done this to me. Hence the reason I contacted another Solicitor right away.

Looking back at two decades of service, they have never been anything but excellent, professional and caring. Ewings are not a huge firm but have a wealth of experience which they use to provide a truly personal service. Superb, use them.

   STAY AWAY, if I could give 0 stars I would. I'm in disbelief at the appalling level of service I've received. I'm a FTB and got in contact with Philip Cartin at Ewings. Ewings were completely unhelpful from the very start of me engaging with them. Some of the issues I experienced: - I received different quotes from other prospective buyers in my building, with no explanation of the reason, even when I asked for the breakdown of costs to be explained. I asked for confirmation whether my quote included VAT and the response I received was "the cost information is all set out in the document". I requested a call with Philip to confirm the details and he was still very unhelpful and would not clarify whether VAT was included. - A leasehold fee was included in my soon-to-be neighbours quote and not in mine, when I asked whether this was a mistake, I was given another very vague answer of "the fees are as laid out in the document". - They've been unable to answer very basic questions that I've asked about the process such as timings and fees etc. My mortgage provider advised me to clarify some details with Philip, I called this morning and he was combative, couldn't give an answer to any of my questions and kept saying he is unwilling to spend any more time on the matter. Given my experience to date, I will not be proceeding with Ewings and will be going with another solicitors. Purchasing a home is not a simple task and as a FTB I will naturally have questions and expect to receive a certain level of service.
