Cut my hair way too short and took 4 hours to colour hair when it was just under ears. Charged £190 for not even the full package that was listed on the website. Great friendly staff but I think a lot more communication can be done when doing hair. Hair cut was uneven and ugly.
I’ve just had the most amazing facial by Katy just now. Full hour of pure pampering using Dermalogica products. I’ve come out with a glow that was much needed . Highly recommend Katy at Quayside . I’ve now had Hollywood waxing done three times at this salon with Kelly, and unfortunately I’ve been consistently disappointed. I chose the Hollywood because I prefer a completely smooth finish, which I’ve had in the past at other salons. But every time I’ve come here, the results were not what I expected. After each session, I was left with hair that felt like it had just been shaved — rough to the touch within a day or two, and not the clean, long-lasting result I’m used to from waxing. It felt like the hair was breaking at the surface instead of being removed from the root, which defeats the purpose of waxing. I even asked to switch from strip wax (the hot wax removed with paper) to hard wax on my second visit, hoping for a better outcome, but it was the same. By the third time, I was sure it wasn’t just a one-off — it’s definitely the technique. I’ve had Hollywood waxes at other salons where the results were smooth for weeks, and even when regrowth started, it was soft and slow. That didn’t happen here. I gave it multiple tries to be fair, but unfortunately, I don’t recommend Kelly for waxing services, especially Hollywood. It’s just not the quality you expect from professional waxing.

Great decor and lovely staff. Gents cut for £20 seemed good value as stylist paid good attention to detail. Rated 4 stars as some little things missing from a traditional gents barber such as using a cut throat razer to finish back of neck etc.... Would recommend using online booking system. This place has a loyalty card system where 5th cut is 15% off which is a nice touch. Coffee whilst waiting was nice with lots of space and comfy chairs. Will be using as my regular hairdresser.
