   I recently dealt with Michael from Pinney Talfourd, and unfortunately, my experience with him was not great. When I first approached the firm for help in drafting an agreement for my partner, we exchanged a few emails. However, during that time, they did not inform me that they were already billing me for our discussions. Later, they asked to set up a call with my partner, which we agreed to. But just a few hours before the call, they informed us that it would be chargeable. We agreed to this, assuming that they would only charge us for the call. But after the call, they sent us a bill that included charges for the emails we had exchanged earlier, claiming they had spent hours studying them. While they did offer us a discount on the charges, it would have been more acceptable if they had informed us beforehand that they were going to charge for these conversations. They should have clearly replied to my first email with a detailed breakdown of all their charges. Moreover, they knew that the matter was urgent, so they could have mentioned that they would be charging for the team call in the same email instead of informing us just a few hours before. Overall, I would not recommend this law firm due to their lack of transparency and unclear billing practices. I found Michael to be sneaky and would have appreciated more transparent communication from the outset.

   I called the branch at Upminister today, a Saturday morning to get a stat declaration signed. I was told to come in anytime before they close and when I went in there was no waiting nothing. I think the solicitor had been briefed already that I would be there. The lady at the reception was very helpful and professional and so was the solicitor that attended to us. The service I received on 13/8 was excellent.
