   I used McGlinchey & Co to do the conveyancing on a bungalow I bought in Wales in January 2024. Everything was done timely and efficiently and there was no issue with the property being in Wales. Simran, the Paralegal, was an experienced conveyancer and did most of the work on the purchase. She was supervised and papers and searches etc reviewed by the partner Richard Harbord. Simran was easy to contact by email or phone and any questions were answered quickly, unlike the experience I have had with some cheap online conveyancers who take ages to come back to you or not at all. I was very happy with the service and would use McGlinchey & Co again.

   A Frustrating Encounter with Broken Promises and Policies Disregard the old positive reviews; my recent encounter with McGlinchey & Co has left me thoroughly dissatisfied. The unprofessionalism displayed during the purchase of our first home has been disheartening. Repeated mistakes during the house-buying process led to seven instances of raising concerns, with McGlinchey & Co promising callbacks that never materialized. Adding to the frustration, we had to point out blatant errors in our contract and deed to McGlinchey & Co. Instead of receiving proper advice, we found ourselves guiding them, revealing their shocking lack of attention to detail and professionalism. Post-purchase, we diligently followed McGlinchey & Co's official complaint process, only to endure a prolonged 12-week period of silence and unfulfilled promises. The most disappointing aspect is that McGlinchey & Co, a company with its own complaints policy, failed to adhere to the very rules they have set. This raises a critical question: what is the purpose of having a complaints policy if the company does not uphold its own guidelines? We are now forced to escalate this matter further. My advice to potential clients is to avoid McGlinchey & Co at all costs. The lack of responsiveness and the failure to adhere to their own policies have cast a shadow on our experience with the company. Avoid being ignored, especially when dealing with a company that falls short of its own standards, and find an alternative.

   Absolutely delighted with the service and timeliness at McGlinchey & Co Solicitors. I'd just moved into the area and needed a couple of guarantor papers witnessed as well as to purchase a property. I called around quite a few local solicitors but Richard and the team were the only ones to accommodate at a reasonable price and in a friendly, warm manner. They sorted out my purchase easily and efficiently, taking my instructions with grace and patience, which I've not found with other solicitors I've used in the past, and explained every step of the way to make sure I knew what I was signing. Very friendly team and great to know I can go back to them for other legal requirements.

   Richard and team were excellent last year to ensure we completed on the purchase of our first property before the stamp duty holiday deadline. 3 month deadline was made with a week to spare. Great Comms throughout! Richard is fluent in Spanish which was a massive help to my partner so she understood the whole conveyancing process. Very friendly and nice people.    I could not have chosen a more attentive and accessible person to manage the selling of my late mother's bungalow than Elizabeth Rose at McGlinchey's. She was incredibly thorough, responded rapidly to every query by email or phone, and I cannot praise her professionalism and knowledge enough during a difficult time for me. She even managed to complete the sale within about 9 weeks from receiving instructions. Amazing lady and so friendly!
