10/10 experience and i love my nails. everyone was so friendly and the customer service was great! super fast and efficient would definitely recommend and will be coming back!
I’ve never believed in writing a bad review before, but I had to after this experience. I booked in for a gel polish removal and manicure — the appointment said £15, but I was charged £20 for some reason. I didn’t argue it, just paid and went ahead. One of my nails was actually bleeding during the manicure and it wasn’t even acknowledged. I asked for my nails to be filed just a bit shorter than what was shown on my pinky finger — instead, all my other nails were cut extremely short, and quite painfully. Meanwhile, my pinky was left really long! I also asked to keep the same almond shape I already had (again, referencing my pinky), but I ended up with a completely different shape. My nails are now scratched, unevenly filed, and look like they were removed carelessly. I didn’t want any polish, just a clean-up, but didn’t even get a buff or shine, which is normally standard. When I left, all the nail dust and leftover cream was still stuck under my nails. Overall, just really disappointed and upset, the hygiene of the seats and table didn’t help as well. I now have to redo and repair my nails myself.
I would put zero if I could. Avoid this awful salon! I asked them if they were able to do the design I requested, she said yes. The first woman could not file my nails properly, left small cuts on many of my fingers, and they were wonky with some tips being sharp/pointy while others were blunt. She then kept repainting the same colour that I told her was wrong from the very first nail. She responded “oh my god” in a frustrated tone, and just ignored me. Another woman took over and had to reshape all of my nails because they were wonky. Then I asked if they could change the base colour so it would be purple like in the pictures I showed (attached). They kept it cherry red despite me saying 4 times that it was not the correct colour. They first tried to do an ombré on top of the cherry red with a sponge, using purple instead of white. I said AGAIN that it did not look like the picture. They shrugged me off. I asked how much it would cost and that I would like a discount because my nail was bleeding, she initially said £47. Then the spray machine they decided to try started working (after they tested it and accidentally sprayed another customer in the eyes with the liquid). They then unevenly sprayed white on my nails. I told them for the final time that I was not happy and if they could not do the design to please just take the colour off and leave the extensions so I can go somewhere else, offering to pay for £40 for the extensions. She said no and that it’ll be fine, so I assumed she would fix it. I then had to stop her because the nails were so bad that I did not want to get trapped into paying for this. They refused and tried to charge me £57. I said that is unfair because I’m literally bleeding and have nail polish all over my hands and a very disappointing nail design, which I had expressed from the start I did not like (confirmed by other customers). They had also spilled/sprayed liquid on me twice (once was while they confronted me, whether that was intentional I don’t know). They tried to blame the poor nail art on the fact that I chose an almond nail shape and the photo is square nails… I guess that is just an excuse for poor skill. It gets worse: The women begin to gang up on me, inspecting the cuts on my fingers and rudely saying “stop acting like you’d need an ambulance for this”. I calmly explained that I’m not, I was simply saying I should not be overcharged when you’ve underperformed. The two women then get other customers (regulars) involved to comment on my nails and the situation, drawing the entire shop’s attention to the situation. They say they either remove my entire nail colour and extensions or I can’t leave without paying overprice. She then tries to say I’ve used their labour for 3 hours (not my fault your original staff member can’t even file a nail properly) and that it’s unfair because the staff member is pregnant. That had absolutely nothing to do with me and it is unprofessional to bring up your personal life as an excuse to bully a customer into paying £57 for bad nails. I just wanted nice nails for my graduation and was already in grief, but instead I had to deal with these unprofessional people that literally mocked me and aggressively spoke at me until I started crying; another customer even intervened to tell the staff to stop behaving like that. I left £40 out of respect on the table after another customer told me to ignore them and leave because they were being awful. They behaved like complete bullies to a crying twenty year old girl. I had been nothing but polite to them and expressed my dislike for the nail AS SOON as they started so not to waste their time, but they kept wilfully ignoring my requests. I have never witnessed such unprofessional and straight up mean behaviour from any nail salon in my life. This completely shocked me, but now reading all the other 1 star reviews, it seems you are just a terrible company with no respectability or future.
Sub-par customer service and pretty awful nails. Got a fresh set done Friday via walk-in which had to be corrected multiple times during the set - left unhappy and expressed this but I paid in full out of respect for their time. Returned on Monday (today) as one nail has already broken due to poor application and the fixing of this was also awful. Very dismissive in saying my nails were an ‘old’ set despite getting them done quite literally 3 days ago, applied the wrong shade twice, didn’t file the shape correctly to match the nails and made little effort to resolve the poor quality nails overall. I would not recommend and personally will never be returning. As a result I’ve had to book an appointment elsewhere to get the nails correct tomorrow as they are simply so shocking.
Went to Angel Nail during a day trip to bristol on my birthday. I was hopeful, however there were a few things that did not sit well with me. The staff seemed a bit rude and disinterested, we kept being told to move seats so that different people could work on our nails, we moved 3 times whilst being there. The salon seemed unhygienic with dust and clutter dotted around. The same brush was being used for multiple people without being cleaned, as well as the files looking heavily used and, again not cleaned. The nails look nice, I can’t fault that. However, for some unknown reason my nail beds are now burning, I’m not sure what correlation this has, I’ve had acrylics multiple times and this has never happened before. The primer used also burned both mine and my friends skin, and it’s still very irritated as I’m writing this. A set of acrylics with plain nail polish took two hours, being sat around for most of it whilst the staff swap customers took up the most time. I understand they must be busy however there must be a point that people are turned away or asked to wait. There was one lady next to me who was waiting over an hour with her nail tips on, no acrylic nothing. I’m not normally one to have to write bad reviews, sadly I think this one is needed.
I've been to Angel Nail a few times for my nails and I love the work all the girls here do! The gel is a nice thin layer. I have really enjoyed my visits here. Everyone is so friendly and my nails always turn out beautiful! I went to different Salons looking for the best manicurist, and in the end I am satisfied.
Angel Nails has a friendly environment and has wonderful and experienced people working there. I came in with the worst shaped nails and they turned them into gorgeous perfectly shaped coffin nails. Honestly one of the best manicures I’ve ever had. They are always able to make my Pinterest nail art dreams come true! I love the prices here!
I have not been disappointed with a service yet, Still my favorite place to go to Angel Nails! Came here I had a pedicure, one of the best experiences 10/10! I just started coming here and Im very impressed. Great Job to all for having such a great establishment. It's always a good experience and I leave feeling relaxed.
