I almost don't want to share how wonderful Claire Thomson at Auld Inkwell is, and gatekeep, but then no-one else would get to experience this lovely woman. Great at her craft, and really put me at ease. I walked out feeling a thousand feet tall.
I have been going to Louis for several years now, his knowledge and expertise where tattooing is concerned are unparalleled. I wouldn’t go anywhere else to be inked. Auld Inkwell is a friendly and welcoming shop, somewhere I always recommend for anyone looking for outstanding tattoos and aftercare. 10/10 would be tattooed by them again.
Beth is amazing, got 2 piercings just under 4 weeks ago and they are fantastic and are healing nicely. They look fantastic, went in for 1 but so glad I got them both pierced. Highly recommend her.

Auld Inkwell is the only place I go for my tattoos. The minute you walk in the door, you’re put at ease by the calm and friendly atmosphere that Claire and Louis have created. They are both fantastic artists and their shop is one of the cleanest I’ve ever been in. If I could give it 6 out of 5 stars, I would!!
I wanted a comic book based tattoo to add to my collection, after seeing Louie's work in line and the work he had done on a friend, I decided to pay him a visit. The whole process from start to finish was seamless and enjoyable, from the editing of my desine, to bring tattooed, to the after care, the whole process was pleasurable and professional. The ambiance and the cleanliness if the studio was top class. Delighted with my tattoo, and look forward to my next.
