“I've had two tattoos in memorial of my Dad, his thumbprint done by the wonderful Jade & a stunning monarch butterfly elbow tattoo by the extremely talented Lauren. My husband recently had a new piece by the insanely talented Jay and he's over the moon with it. The studio is super clean, very friendly and the artists are super talented. I wouldn't go anywhere else! The only issue I have is deciding my next piece. Anyone looking for a tattoo book in with Envy I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. Keep up the amazing work Team Envy and I'll be back soon!”

I got four hand-poked tattoos, all original designs, and each one was done with such care and precision. Lia tattooed me and was incredible, warm, focused, and clearly talented. “I am absolutely in love with my tattoo by Thais. She was super warm, friendly and professional. She took her time with me making me feel comfortable, offering sugary sweets and talking me through the process when I explained I was a little nervous and not used to tattoos (was my first in almost 20 years!) This tattoo has been 10 years in the making for me, to mark a special memory of my late Granda and Thais has executed it perfectly. “It was my first tattoo. I met and spoke to Alexa at the Old Town Tattoo, and inquired about what I wanted. It couldn't be done that day but she was happy to do the tattoo the following day. “I was looking for a place for my first tattoo in Edinburgh and came across Semper and Joanne. So glad I did, such a great experience and I am so happy with the final result. From the first contact by email, Anna was super helpful, friendly and responsive; to Joanne taking some her concepts to create an abstract design which is amazing and I love. Joanne showed me lots of ideas she had, and loads she created for me. She combined lots of these ideas and used brush strokes directly on my skin which was super cool. She is massively talented and I’m looking forward to getting another tattoo from her. She even gave me a load of the designs to take home, which I plan to frame. Aftercare advice was good and detailed. The studio is very clean, friendly, and looking around it looks like they have lots of talented artists. If you are looking for your first tattoo, or more tattoos I’d fully recommend Semper and Joanne.”

Niamh was really professional and spent plenty of time making sure the stencil was the perfect size and placement for where I wanted it before we started. And the shape of it is exactly the lines I drew and he mixed colours together to get the perfect colour so it looks like a red marker, exactly like I wanted. Beautiful and simple yet with precision.
