   Had 2 tattoos already done from here already ( one on my head and one on my upper arm, and a sleeve is a work in progress). The building itself feels very quiet and private, it's super clean with friendly artists and the tattoo experience for me has just been super chill, everytime. The only drawback for me personally is that it's hard to find parking BUT it has pretty good busy and train links nearby for non-drivers

   I cannot recommend Laura highly enough. Every part of her work is so thoughtfully done. From her patience finalising the design, to checking in for breaks and the conversations (and comfortable silences) throughout the tattooing process - along with the calm atmosphere of her and Dave's studio - everything made me feel completely at ease. The after care instructions were easy to follow, with Laura's advice always available, making healing a dream. Honestly, the hardest part was not coming back right away! I am so grateful to have spent two days working with such a talented and kind person. Thank you for giving me this beautiful piece of artwork and an experience I'll never forget.

   Just visited the studio last week to get more work from Laura and it was a wonderful experience as always. She and David have curated one of the most interesting studios, a space that complements their own work. Laura has made my left arm into something I'd like preserved and hung up in the museum. She has an amazing ability to understand how to place the design in a way that flows with your anatomy, and she patiently listens to your feedback and incorporates it if you're not sure about the element or the placement. She's also wonderful to just chat with, it's always such fun talking to her. Thank you Laura, and thank you David

   I really can't recommend Ecdysis enough, what an incredible studio. Laura and Dave have been incredibly welcoming ever my time I've been in or contacted them, and the quality of their work is just absolutely top tier. So far I've had 2 tattoos done by Laura and was absolutely blown away by the level of care, both in the artwork and in the whole experience of getting tattooed. Before the appointment I had lots of information in advance, including general skincare to get the most out of my tattoo on the day and knew what to expect going into the appointments. I entirely trust Laura to exercise her full creativity and she has been more than happy to discuss the designs and placements more on the day, adapting ideas to fit my body. This is also the most aftercare advice and follow up that I've received from any tattoo artist and I appreciate that so much. If I've had further questions I've been able to reach out to the studio and Laura has always been quick and comprehensive in her replies. The two tattoos Laura has done for me so far have turned out absolutely beautifully and have healed amazingly. I really couldn't recommend Laura and thr studio enough, it's just genuinely been such a good all round experience working with them. Thank you!

   I had the privilege of receiving a tattoo from Larissa Travassos at this studio. The whole process from start to finish, was very professional. The studio was immaculately clean and set up well. Larissa was very kind and welcoming and gave me a fantastic tattoo. She has a very soft touch, so the tattoo wasn't painful at all. I love the work she does and would recommend her as the best tattoo artist that Edinburgh has to offer.

   I cannot recommend this studio highly enough. Laura and Dave have created such a welcoming environment which is noticeable the moment you walk through the door. The tattoo experience itself was amazing, I’ve never felt so peaceful getting tattooed before! Laura really went above and beyond and I’m so thankful for that. Now I get to carry around not just a beautiful tattoo but a memory of a great experience. Thanks guys, can’t wait to visit again!

   I couldn't recommend Ecdysis enough - I had the loveliest experience getting tattooed by Laura. I was made to feel welcome and cared for as soon as I walked through the door, and Laura and Dave are the nicest possible people you could wish to meet. The studio is absolutely gorgeous, super clean, private, and has the most relaxing atmosphere. Without even mentioning how talented and considerate Laura is as an artist, it was an absolute joy to just sit and chat all day in a such a chilled environment - I completely forgot I was getting tattooed!
