   I’ve been tattooed by Ian (the owner) three times in the past year, and every single time I leave the studio I’m blown away by the quality of his work. Ian is friendly, funny, and clearly passionate about what he does. He’s great at giving advice on sizing and placement, and always makes sure you feel comfortable and confident with your choices. The shop itself is a brilliant wee space. Spotlessly clean and packed with cool designs and trinkets. The rest of the team are just as sound: friendly, chatty, and genuinely interested in each other’s work, which makes for a really welcoming atmosphere. In short: fantastic shop, fantastic people, and fantastic tattoos. Five stars isn’t enough!

   I had an incredible experience getting a walk-in tattoo at this studio! From the moment I stepped in, the customer service was exceptional—warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, making me feel at ease right away. Steve was fantastic, taking the time to understand what I wanted and adapting the design with impressive skill to ensure it was exactly what I wanted. He checked in with me at every step, making sure I was happy with the progress, which really showed his dedication to creating a great experience. The atmosphere was relaxed yet professional, and the final result blew me away. I absolutely love my tattoo and couldn’t have asked for a better process. I’d highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a memorable and top-notch tattoo experience!

   I recently received my first tattoo from the shop owner Ian McAlister, who did this incredible anatomically correct Tyrannosaurus rex tattoo for me. Ian is super friendly, and the shop is immaculate, if you would like a tattoo, go see Ian at Lucky Rose, you won't be disappointed by the quality or service. Very highly recommended!

   I’ve been tattooed by Ian, the owner of this studio, for years. The team there are lovely. No divas. They have created a wonderful atmosphere and, simply put, do great tattooing in a great environment. I’d recommend anyone to go there, regardless if it’s your first tattoo or your 20th. I love the fact they do appointments and walk ins, both with equal enthusiasm. Top shop. Top people.

   My partner and I were visiting edinburgh and happened to walk past and see a gumball machine in the window with 'you get what you get' on it. Excited as we had seen things like this on the internet before and we went in the next day when they were open. We were promptly booked in for the following day. The shop was clean and the staff were lovely. The tattoos were fab designs and fairly cheap. The tattoo came out brilliant too! Would recommend Logan! It was fun to not know what you were going to get. Amazing way to commemorate our holiday! (Sorry for the poor quality pics)

   Logan was great. Fit my wife and I in for a quiet and simple his/her tattoo. Great service, felt comfortable from start to finish, and it was very clean. All tools and supplies were taken out of packaging fresh in front of me. Would definitely recommend.

   I was lucky to spontaneously get an appointment with Logan. I briefly told him what I would like and less than 15 minutes later he came around the corner with a perfect drawing! Nice guy! Great tattoo artist and a great team. Thanks to him, I was allowed to travel back to Germany with an Edinburgh memory.
