   I had an absolutely fantastic experience getting tattooed by Cathryn here earlier this week! I walked in later in the day hoping to get a tattoo and it was such a great time. Cathryn was so kind and friendly. The tattoo came out amazing and it was the best placement of second skin I’ve ever seen, which was a relief that it would survive my travels back home. I would 100% recommend Old Town Tattoo to anyone in the Edinburgh area.

   It was my first tattoo. I met and spoke to Alexa at the Old Town Tattoo, and inquired about what I wanted. It couldn't be done that day but she was happy to do the tattoo the following day. Obviously, this gave me time to back out of having the tattoo done, but I just had a good feeling about Alexa and her work. It felt like she was the right person and it was the right place. I'm super happy with the tattoo and would just like to say "Thank you".

   From talented artists to friendly Chat, you’ll have a wonderful experience in this shop! All artists will discuss thoroughly what you want, the best positioning and any additional ideas to help you find your perfect piece. If they can’t help you straight away for a walk in (it’s a busy shop), they’ll suggest other shops in the area which I think shows such a high level of professionalism. Love all of my tattoos from here. Steph, Cat and Mark are the bees knees :) For being in such a central location in Edinburgh, the prices are extremely reasonable. Definitely recommend anyone reading this have a nosey on their Instagram/Facebook to see for yourselves!

   Got my first tattoo done and the staff were amazing but got a bit ripped of as they charged me £80 for simple line work and that’s it, I spoke to friends with tattoos and even they said that a bit much for just that so was annoyed about but other than that great experience and lovely welcoming staff

   My husband and I live in Canada and we came to Edinburgh on our honeymoon. I looked up this tattoo shop a couple months before we came and the reviews were so good and the portfolios were amazing. So we went ahead and we booked with Steph to each get a tattoo while we were visiting the city. They communicated with us via Facebook messenger and took our deposit to hold our spot. There was no delay in correspondence, and the receptionist was so friendly. When we arrived at the shop, we noticed how clean it was and what a good vibe they had going on there. We were delighted to find out that the artist that we had booked with is actually the owner. She’s amazing. She is sweet and kind and personable and very professional. Her work is outstanding and her prices are very reasonable. We both got black and gray tattoos and they are incredible! We are both pretty heavily covered in tattoos, and I can say that her touch was probably one of the most gentle tattoos I’ve ever had. To say that we are happy is an understatement. I would highly recommend this tattoo shop if you are looking to get your souvenir from Edinburgh. We will 100% book again on our next visit back to Edinburgh and will most definitely go with Steph.
