   Emailed for a qoute for some average wood you can pick up in any place (3x3 posts) - 1.8m, bread and butter of the timber world. Simply got an email back saying we don't do quotes. No apology, or explanation, could even be bothered to sign the email. I replied asking how am I supposed to find a price to buy this timber. Got an email saying sorry we don't do these products you require. I replied saying well how about some alternative lengths perhaps hoping they could offer something else. Instead just ignored.

   I have used Bristol city timber every time I have needed timber for the various projects I have worked on. I was recommended them by a friend. They have always been extremely helpful with their advice and have given me advice on the best way to approach a project, even if it has meant they would not benefit from the project themselves. I would highly recommend this company for all your timber needs as they will give you honest experienced advice.

   Recommended by a guy in Selco as 'helpful on a saturday', I went on a Monday and found the guy there not very helpful at all. Basic floorboards (either size) "not done", skirting "specialist job that", worktops "only do softwoods". Completely wasted journey. Not going back soon... What about just a teaspoonful of service?
