   Surprisingly wide range of stuff. In the last couple of months I bought some pvc pipe for my printer, concrete screws, chalk paint, circlip plier I remember of, and most recently they were the only in town - despite there are two building merchants here - where I could find wallpaper adhesive from small to big pack size. Definitely worth checking them if you need something around the house before using Amazon...

   Came into john browns when i was mid shift in a local cafe and was in dire need of a few small very specific parts to fix a coffee machine during the busy lunch hour. whilst stressing to get the right parts, the staff were most helpful in making sure i got the correct part and when i mentioned working for a local cafe they were so kind to give me the part for free. they completely saved me when i was in desperate need and couldn’t have been more helpful to me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

   A fantastic, friendly, professional and helpful local shop that will literally have anything large or small for garden and home as their shop is an Aladdin's cave! All the staff are so friendly and will do everything to make you feel welcome and will help you with any product they sell. If they haven't got it in stock, they can usually order it for you. I find this high level of customer service is not found in the larger DIY outlets these days.

   Such lovely and helpful people. They were closing up when I popped my head in to seek some advice - they even fired up the till again to be able to give me some price info. They really do go the extra mile for their customers and it’s shops like this that really want me to support local business more even if they can’t be as competitive as larger enterprises and DIY chains.

   Fantastic local hardware shop. Often pop in for little bits for jobs at home and the staff are really helpful. They have most the essentials and can give you what you need, so you don't need to buy 10m of cable for a job which only needs 1m!
