Store experience entirely depends on who's helping you and the desk. One of the men who served me was friendly and helpful while the other was decidedly grumpy and clearly didnt really want to interact with non professional plumber customers.
Was referred here by a drains specialist. Don’t bother going in if you need any help picking a product. They seem shocked that they might get a question about plumbing in a plumbers merchants
I just can't thank them enough. As a female diy-er ( I do all the off grid plumbing for my family home and glamping site) I have always been helped so completely by these guys. They listen properly to some really 'bespoke' problems, they find the best solution and they provide everything I need at a very competitive price. I've never been less patronised. I had a leaking tap and couldn’t see any makers marks, which meant I had no chance of finding the right nitrile washers online. I spoke to the guys in Plumbase and they suggested that I bring the tap in to find a match. They absolutely nailed it, result a leak free tap which saved me lots of hassle having to replace the whole unit. Thank you to a very friendly bunch of guys.

Van driver nearly ran me over as I was on my way into their shop. Not helpful once I was inside either - wanted a fairly standard 1/2” tap cartridge and they looked at me as if I was speaking Martian. Luckily BBS not 100 yards away sorted me out, cheaper too.
I've used this company and I found them very helpful, giving good advice to a non-plumber. What is more I have never been stuck behind one of their delivery trucks, so I have no complaints about their drivers.
I've not used this company directly but the attitude of one of their drivers this morning speaks volumes about the company I think. One of their van drivers was completely blocking a narrow road at peak rush hour. He unloaded 4 things from his van without even a glance at me or acknowledgment that I was stuck behind him in my car. After waiting for 5 minutes, I beeped my horn and gestured that he could actually just park in the two spaces next to him at the side of the road but got a very rude and aggressive response from him. Will not be using plumbase if this is their attitude.
