   I went shopping today for a few bits and I asked the member of staff twice for me to scan my Lidl card and he still didn’t do it so I missed out on that which I’m really annoyed about as this is our local so now I’m writing my review. If you don’t go first thing in the morning or late in the evening it’s so busy. The car park is so small and it can be chaos as there is designated way in and way out. There are 12 self-service tills and half the time there are only 5 open and now when you leave you have to scan your receipt whilst holding heavy shopping bags

   Lidl is a fantastic spot for affordable, high-quality groceries, and I absolutely love their pastry section. The bakery always smells inviting, and the croissants, pain au chocolat, and danishes are fresh, flaky, and delicious , easily my favourite part of the shop. The store is clean and well laid out, with great prices on everyday essentials and plenty of interesting specials in the middle aisle. Staff are efficient and the self-checkout makes things quick. A brilliant option for a tasty bargain shop

   8am shop. 40 items. Tried to go through empty basket scanner section and was told to go queue for 15 mins as “he doesn’t make the rules but he just has to follow them”. Not first time. So much easier using self scan at sainsburys and isn’t much difference in price anymore. Will avoid in future.

   Nice to pop in occasionally to look at a different range of things from my normal shop. Some nice treats including some Christmas lines already in. Highlight was a tasty mushroom and Stilton Wellington bake but as with several of the products the contents are a bit disappointingly smaller than the packaging. Now with useful app for discounts. Quite a few gaps on the shelves on a March Monday night.

   Stock levels are usually poor and queue times for the self service checkouts are long due to the number of machines that are out of order. Staff are very helpful.

   Absolutely love this place. Store is always clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and helpful. I tend to go in for 1 or 2 things, end up looking at the bargains and going home with a lot more. The offers they have some times are fab. I now use the app and the lidl card.

   The stack of baskets is an legitimate death trap for any toddlers. They are overstacked, very heavy and wobbly. I've told several employees, but nothing had been done. I honesly will not be surprised when a child dies because this has fallen on them
