Today’s visit to Cabot Circus Marks & Spencer was horrendous. I was told not to use my own bag while shopping. I usually go to Marks & Spencer in Cribbs Causeway and I’ve never had any issues using my own bag there. I understand that theft rates are high in Bristol city centre, but they shouldn’t treat every customer who walks into the store as a thief. The security guard at the front door told me not to use my own bag, and then another security guard kept following me around and watching me to make sure I didn’t steal anything. It was quite offensive as a customer. I spoke to the manager and she apologised and explained why they’re doing it. If it’s necessary, why don’t they put up a sign so customers know they can’t use their own bags while shopping? The worst part was being followed by a security guard all the way to the till to make sure I paid for my items. It was a very bad experience at the Cabot store in Bristol

Little gem of a M&S open all day on Sundays, very clean and well stocked !

Bugsi the Explorer ★★★☆☆
Decent selection of fresh food and snacks, and the quality is usually reliable. However, the store feels a bit limited compared to larger branches, and prices are on the higher side for everyday shopping. It’s handy for quick top-ups, but not the best option for a full shop.

This is a well-stocked store considering it's size - while i understand that it takes great effort to maintain this, the quality of the staffing has really gone downhill in the past year- they seem to like to have a good natter and sometimes block the aisles which are already constricted; they don't always move out of the way when you're trying to shop! You get to the check-out and it takes ages for someone to come and help (once i went to find someone and they were chatting about their weekend with their colleagues, i had to tell them i needed help)! Sainsbury's has less employees down the road and they try and help you as soon as they can at the check-out, the staff are politer there too. I don't know if there is a staff room in this store but if there isn't you clearly need one.

Two workers (young guys) squabbling behind cash desk swearing numerous times. Not your average m&s employees. They're letting you down! Not impressed.

I have had to start using M&S Simply food stores since the main shop in Broadmead closed back in January (Food and clothing) The store was clean and well supplied and had most things that you could require from salads, fruit, meats, meal deals to drinks. All tills are self service which always gets me in a pickle because I usually have a sparks card and a voucher to use - staff on hand to help with this but at the self service tills. Will either use this or other m&S food stores - always like the quality of the food at M&S

It's quite small but has a good range of stuff on offer. Their plant kitchen range is pretty decent despite being confined to only one cabinet. They don't offer much by way of vegan sweets at all, but for savoury food it's quite good. The produce is fine quality but everything's wrapped in loads of plastic.

Small but sufficient shop with lots of delicious food and sweets. You can buy poultry, chicken, fish, salads, fruits and vegetables. They offer variety of sandwiches and prepared foods. Also you can find a bit of cleaning and washing products, and other necessities there. The staff are very helpful and nice too.
