I went later in the day thinking I would shop faster and there would be fewer people. But I was disappointed. There was no staff at the checkouts, so we 15 people waited at the self-service checkouts for over 20 minutes. Thanks you Staff Manager! After a full day of work, it took me 45 minutes to buy groceries

I would of given them 5☆'s if not all the products I regularly buy were always on the top shelves, like Spring Onions. Being in a wheelchair I either have to hang about for a member of staff or ask a random customer. On the 4th Feb I started a Low Carb diet and started shopping here regularly for my vegetables, meat and fish. Their very is generally quiet good quality, sometimes a little iffy but dig deep enough you can generally find good stuff. I started shopping there after eye surgery in 2022, in an attempt to lose weight which I. Thanks Lidl for your shop local to where I go often and for your helpful staff like Kia

Really really frustrating no proper large tills open, just self serve checkout. Full large blue wheely basket enough for four carrier bags worth, cans, bottled drinks, veg etc..... doesnt fit or work LIDL on self service till...!!! Most budget item were about 65p not long ago now are £1. Your profits can pay for someone on the till. please sort.

Toilets inadequate. Only one toilet and usually occupied. Frequently no toilet paper and no customer service desk, so although cashiers can be made aware, situation not resolved However! Store is clean and tidy. Staff are lovely. Carparking outside

Lidl Avon Meads offers a convenient shopping experience with a wide range of affordable products. The store is well-organized and clean, making it easy to find what you need. Staff are friendly and helpful, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. Parking availability is a plus, ensuring a hassle-free visit. However, it can get quite busy during peak hours, so plan accordingly for a quicker checkout. Overall, a great place for budget-friendly shopping.

The people who work at this store are great. The reason for 2 stars is I don’t think I’ve seen a till open for months and it’s clearly a cost cutting measure from higher up the chain. Probably won’t be going back for a big shop again as having to do two or three loads for one trolley and calling a member of staff over several times because the scales don’t pick up a light item is just a bit silly really. Agree with the other commenter- if you’re going to force customers to use the self service then the saving should be passed on as well. Would definitely shop here if this wasn’t the case.

I visited on a Saturday morning at around 9.30am. I managed to find everything I was looking for. The store itself isn't too bad. Quite well stocked and is clean and tidy. On checkout there was no tills open. A member of staff directed me to the self service checkout. I absolutely despise self service checkouts. They are ok for one or two items but not a basket full of goods. Do I receive a discount for doing my own scanning?.. The bananas wouldn't go through so two staff members tried and I decided to forget them. Then the baked goods wouldn't go through. There was a queue behind me by this point. After the third attempt to complete my shop I had enough of the self service nonsense and walked out of the store. Leaving my items in the basket and till. I will not return to this shop. I would rather go to Iceland next door or to Sainsbury's where they don't expect you to work as a checkout person for free.

Lidl is a great grocery store chain that's perfect for anyone looking for good quality products at low prices. The stores are well-organized and easy to navigate, and the selection is diverse, with a good variety of international and specialty products. They also have a lot of their own brand products, which are often just as good as the name brands but much cheaper. I find that the prices at Lidl are always very competitive, and I always feel like I'm getting a good deal when I shop there. The stores can get pretty busy, but the staff are usually friendly and helpful. Overall, I'd definitely recommend giving Lidl a try if you're looking for a budget-friendly grocery shopping option.

This new store looks amazing! Clean, fresh food with great dates, great range of branded and lidl own brands, great customer service, self scan, huge carpark and the lidl plus app makes it even better value! I love that I have a new place to shop!
