I always found the staff friendly and the selection good considering that it's a small shop. The opening ours a great, everything else shuts much earlier in the surrounding area.
I have just seen a sloth behind the till. It was amazing to see someone move so slow and disinterested in the ever increasing queue. Served one and the queue grew by two. I'd have stayed and watched but it is a small shop and it was getting over crowded and I certainly didn't have time to actually get served.
I went in this shop at 12.10 on Sunday 23rd June . The woman who was on the checkouts till was Very rude . She was very rude to customers . She told the lady on front of me she is not leaving enough social distancing .. There was enough space between her and the lady Infront of her .. I was having a conversation with my friend and she started giving her opinion.. I never said anything to her as she was obviously having a bad day .. I do not go into shops to be served by discurtius till operators .
A decent sized Express. Had a full lunch selection of normal and Tesco Finest sandwiches. 2 self checkouts. Not great signal for accessing Clubcard on the app (did work eventually).
It feels like there are one or two competent staff that are just about holding this place together; the rest hide away to avoid working on the few tills available. Much of the time there is no-one on the tills at all. When busy, including lunchtimes, the inevitable crowds queue around the store, being served by one person and two (often non-functional) self-service tills. It doesn't help that there are no clear queues set up for the normal and self-service tills, so there is often aggro between people thinking others are queue jumping. There are always large unattended loading trolleys parked in the tiny aisles (and by the tills), further complicating queuing and making access to some items impossible. On the plus side, the 'Finest' sandwiches in the premium meal deal are decent. Certainly better than the rubbish Sainsburys were selling last time I checked.

Just watched the young male assistant sell vapes and lottery cards to 3 lads in school uniform which is against the law. Reported to police.

Never shopping there again! Charged £6 for a meal deal. Never got offered the recipe. The sign says £3.00 for a meal deal with club card and £3.50 without. We did not have a club card but still got charged £6! Outrageous and I’m disgusted. I went in and complained, I brought all my items back in, but stated could do nothing about it. Talk about living crisis!!!
I have to rate this one star. I mean it is a Tesco express you know what to expect there. But outside directly outside the store was flagrant and blatant drug use, discussion and sale. There was a local cleaning up after them.. who was totally invisible to the pushers. For it to be so open and acceptable it was be rife and endemic just outside the thin vein that is the touristy part of this town.. Tesco should be actively stamping out and using their might to enforce it doesn't atleast happen in their backyard and i don't have to explain to my kids what they are doing and the LANGUAGE they were using. Also there is supposed to be a walk way through their car park that appears to be closed off.
