I like this Lidls more than others I've been too and that's hands down because of the staff extremely helpful and happy to help customers with their shopping
Beware just purchased 2 no pulled pork items which the coupon stated 15% off but the photo on the coupon was wrong the bar code was for slow cooked pulled pork ? Rip off
Clean shop, Lidl staff very kind and helpful. Lots of tasty bakery items and a general range of products. Shame the security guard can't show compassion and is very rude. Struggling with a 3 yo and shopping (no bags) refused to let me take basket to my car (which was right outside the shop) told me to make two trips with my 3 yo in tow or leave her in the car. He did offer me a trolley token for the next time I can't afford bags though!!
I've shopped here multiple times a week since they opened over a decade ago. Today I went in for 1 specific item that they didn't have in stock. While leaving empty handed I was accused of shop lifting. I've never been so embarrassed in my life. The event was very amusing to some other shoppers. I understand that they have many undesirable types enter their store and feel for the staff and their difficulties. Fortunately we have a new Aldi nearby. I feel I wouldn't be able to enter this Lidl store again.
The bakery is excellent and the staff so helpful. Recently I had to collect a lot of pasties early in the morning (as soon as the store opened) for an event at the local Children's Hospice where I work. I spoke to the gentleman who did the baking beforehand and he ensured that there were plenty ready in time for me to collect - I appreciated this so much, I wish I'd taken his name to thank him. This is a great store with lots of choice and the usual great value Lidl prices. I never find it too busy, though I don't shop at peak times.
I've been late because didn't know it closes at 9pm. One of the workers was really nice, I think the security worker. But women cashiers, who were ready to go out were unpleasant, specially one of them. I don't understand why because they left anyway. They didn't even waste one minute because of me.
Lidl has loads of fresh pastries and cakes, but..... never seems to have any of their delicious brownies (gutted!)
