   It has been six years since we stayed at Carrique Cottage. We selected the cottage as a central point for five days while we toured Stirling, Glasgow, Calzean Castle, Dumbarton Castle, the Trossachs national park and Loch Lomond. They were all an easy day tour from the cottage. the cottage is 5 miles from Gargunnock for an easy non-congested drive for dinner at the Gargunnock Inn and stocking the kitchen for breakfast and lunch at the Gargunnock village store. The pictures posted reflect the serenity of the site. the sunrises were spectacular while we were there! I definitely recommend this cottage if you want to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city. The WiFi was acceptable and the accommodations were clean and comfortable; and the hostess was charming and very accommodating. Again, this posting covers a period 6 years ago but I just ran across it while re-tracing our vacation.
