So easy to book and plenty of parking. The obstacles in the Fun Run are great and there’s fresh water and bins available. Only downside is that the Fun Run is very noisy. It’s beside the kennels so lots of barking dogs, and incredibly loud motorway running alongside it. Probably fine for most dogs, but not ideal for my nervous pup.
I done the classic run and don't think I'll be back. The field is too big for one dog and was a nightmare for training. The grass was pretty long also and not as well kept as other dog runs.
This is such a beautiful place to bring dogs! There's 3 different types of fields you can book and even just classic one is massive and so we'll kept! The Agility field is amazing there's different parts to it and a little stream as well it's so lovely!
We used the Classic Run, and it was super! A huge field, with great fencing all around to keep dogs in. We found the field very clean, with short grass and firm under foot. Our dog had an absolute ball running around, and we were happy and confident that he was safe whilst doing so. The shelter area wasn't needed as it was sunny whilst we were there, but it would be very handy in bad weather. The picnic table is a good addition, too. It was straightforward to book a slot online and it is definitely good value. There was good availability when we booked. The parking was very convenient and easy to find. No worries about dogs running onto the road from the carpark as it is on a quiet country lane. We will definitely be coming back to Bonnyton Farm Dog Run.
Would be a great place except for the security aspect of it. We have had the gates opened twice now while our dogs were running in the field. The second time by an employee of the farm. When I advised them that it was not ideal, the response was basically they had to put water in there as it was a hot day. I completely understand this but some warning or double gate system would reduce the risk of dogs running out onto the road.
The size of the fields are fabulous. Far bigger than other dog runs that I have used. The agility field is great with a variety of equipment and a small stream that runs through it. I enjoy doing some scent work with my dog and there are lots of places in the agility field to hide treats to find.
Fabulous area for the dogs to run free. I like that the field is pretty flat and you can see right across to the other side, especially since it's such a large area. I would recommend for anyone who has dogs with questionable recall who can't be trusted offlead (like mine!)
Classic run and agility run around the same size but agility field has a wee stream at the bottom of it if your dog enjoys water play. Both fields sit back to back with a small paddock in the middle that has a horse so it's a good way to introduce your dog to being around horses as it is clearly very used to being around them! My only criticism would be that the agility field is often unavailable and, as you can make recurring bookings, I'm guessing a lot of folk have used this facility. While I'm sure it suits the business owners who obviously just want slots filled, it does make it slightly less attractive to the less lucky who only ever seem to have access to less useful times of the day. Nevertheless, your dogs will have fun running around the classic run and playing in the agility run in the agility field, if you manage to get a slot in daylight! No floodlights in either field so not suitable for after dark.
Great place to let your dogs have a run. I think it's around 6 acres so plenty of space. Very clean, grass is always cut and well looked after. Water and dish supplied. Staff are very friendly and helpful should you require to call. Can't recommend this place highly enough.
