I visited an excellent production of Sleeping Beauty in this lovely theatre. Both the production and the venue were lovely, with mulled wine available on the bar and comfortable seats with a great view of the stage throughout.
This was my first visit to the Redgrave theatre. My son and I (along with our friends) went to watch 'A Chrismtas Carol' and it was a truly spectacular show! Superb acting throughout, with a very clever story twist. What a talented bunch! Seats were comfortable too. We were lucky enough to be close to the front but they're set up in a way where you have a full view of the stage, wherever you are!
Fabulous compact theatre where even the very back row is close to the stage. But if you are quick you can easily be within 10 feet from the stage. Making it such a great experience whatever event you go to. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly. Love the team and experience here, this event was The West End Tenors, AMAZING and an absolute bargain compared to London prices and expenses of traveling there.
Had a lovely evening here, venue was clean and staff helpful. The bar was a bottle neck as although there were 5 servers there was only one contact less card machine so even when you were served you had to wait for the machine to be available.. And it was really busy! Access for disabled people would be a bit of an issue, as access to the bar and the venue were all via stairs, but there was level access to the Auditorium via the fire escape door at the front.
We visited for the pantomime which was lovely, especially with two younger children. The theatre is great, it's nice to visit a smaller one rather than the huge ones. The seat was a little tight for the more amply proportioned person but having an aisle seat helped. There's not much round it, so don't worry about arriving too early.
I went to Aladdin show It wasnt that good. Its intended for kids though The vocals and the music wasnt the best I don’t recommend it if u do t have kids.
The Regrave Theatre is a school theatre in Bristol that is used for commercial and local theatre. It is found up towards the Downs on Percival Road. There is paid parking on the road that is free on a Sunday, but please check the meters. The auditorium is reached by steep steps. For wheelchair access there is a side entrance e at ground floor level. It is a steeply raked auditorium giving hood views. There are two aisles. The bar area is very small which causes problems when it is cold or raining and the main auditorium is not open ad it can't accommodate many people.
Cracking little theatre hidden away down a side street. Decent audio. The only complaint is the bar is extremely cramped, which is unfortunate when it's raining as you practically have to queue outside, and toilet space is extremely limited, leading to massive queues in the interval. Overall though, an excellent little venue.
It's a lovely theatre with great regular star guests. However the seats are on the hard side, and the refreshments area is actually in the reception and toilets area.. So it's always overcrowded... Not covid safe at that point of your entertainment night
