Wide open spaces for the family, great views of the surrounding areas

This park is a great wee starting point if you want to park your car and walk into Mugdock Country Park and beyond. From this location you can walk in and around Mugdock or head further afield to parts of the West Highland Way and The John Muir Trail. On a few occasions me and my friends park here and have walked all the way to Carbeth Huts and back and made a day of walking round the area. The parking is front facing street parking so there's around 10+ spaces on the street and they are free and unlike parking at the official Mugdock carparks, you don't need to worry about gates being locked as it's street parking! Definitely a great wee park to walk the dogs or starting point for a day of walking so close to Milngavie town centre.

Great park to walk. Different routes in offer but the sight is rather clear. You never get lost, when you want to go back just follow the river or the sound of water.

Lovely place to walk round, lovely park for young children of various ages, swing park, skate park. Close to café and shops.

#1 place for arrogant and irresponsible dog walkers who can't keep dogs on lead and let them terrorise others. The Milngavie attitude is strong here.

Mugdock Country Park is a wonderful resource. The woods are so beautiful and the castle and visitor centre are always worth a visit.
