   Agreeing with the Tim Hooley review. Used to be with A Plan (and Westhill before). Wife's car quote came in high this year (no reason - never made a claim in 18 years). Rep said all car insurance up at least 25% and said they had searched the market - absolute rubbish - we got her insurance for £170/year less than their quote elsewhere (same cover). This looks like it comes down to Howden not being a true broker searching the whole market and incredibly stupid (unlikely I'll renew mine with them this year, nor use them for other insurances, personal or business-related. Short-sighted stupidity to Howden.

   oh dear its all gone abit wrong for A-Plan since being acquired by Howden - premiums up massively, phone wait times up massively, customer numbers down I guess....

   A terrible experience. They missold a policy and despite a 2 month investigation denied any wrong doing. Appalling and I would very much recommend you look elsewhere.
