Outstanding service received at Lydney Minor Injuries Unit, in particular, to the staff members and the two attending paramedics Mark and Conrad working on Tuesday 14 May. I brought my Mum in with suspected stroke and the staff were absolutely amazing, can’t praise them enough for taking care of my Mum who was later diagnosed as having a bleed on the brain. My family are so very grateful for your professionalism and kindness.

Had a previous experience that put me off using minor injuries unless absolutely necessary as a doctor was really rude to me in the past because of my GP surgery. Went today with my daughter and wow, absolutely blown away by the professionalism from the staff. From the receptionist to the healthcare professionals I saw. Thank you so much for a speedy but professional outcome for my daughter.

What a brilliant resource! I went through triage after a fall from a horse and following a call from a triage nurse was booked in for an appointment 30 minutes later. Upon arrival the reception was very quiet (surprising for midday on a Tuesday) and I was seen promptly by the most incredible nurse who made me feel listened to and validated and then sent through for X-ray. I feel very fortunate to have this unit on our doorstep. Thank you to all the staff!

Having had to have an unexpected appointment this morning due to a squirrel bite! The treatment my father-in-law received was brilliant from HCA at reception to practice nurse and student with the his treatment. Jovial, Friendly , Professional approach was just great . 3 hours from calling 111 to treatment including journey, fantastic. Really appreciate your time.

I had occasion to have to visit the minor unit facilities. Ten out of ten is all I can say. The NHS at its very best. We are indeed very fortunate to have a local hospital here in Lydney.

I visited the MIU this week after injuring my hand. I was triaged quickly, x-rayed and bandaged up with a tetanus booster all inside 90 minutes! All the staff I dealt with were pleasant and professional. They made the best out of a bad situation and I'm grateful for Ben's help!

Are they having a laugh. I’m not special, I don’t deserve priority over anyone else but this place is an abject example of inefficiency. I came into the minor injury unit with a cut to my finger that looked like it needed a stitch, a five minute job. I was triaged in a few minutes and told I’d probably only need a steri strip and I’ll be on my way. Great I thought. That was two hours ago. I could forgive the long delay only why couldn’t the triage nurse whack on a steri strip. Also, there are a total of 10 people in here, allowing for people accompanying only there are 7 casualties only. These people want massive pay rises don’t forget. This is what is wrong with this country. Useless public services. Sorry if I’ve upset a few snowflakes but Google can always sensor me and cancel my response so we can pretend the world is working correctly.

My husband took me to Lydney hospital as I had difficulty in breathing. A lovely young lady called Jess took me in straight away and another lady (didn't remember her name) anyway looked after me and called for ambulance to take me to Gloucester hospital. Ambulance men and Gloucester hospital staff were also very supportive and have to say excellent. Had to stay in Gloucester for 3 days but they sorted me out thank you to all involved.

My appointment for an X ray went smoothly and I was in and out very quickly HOWEVER The Receptionist was very Frosty and not at all welcoming. I was then called into X ray by a " Gentleman " . Anyone could see I have difficulty walking but he just marched away and sternly said " follow me" There were two people in the X ray room. The same cold unwelcoming Gentleman and a lovely young lady. ( 5 stars for her ) I felt extremely uncomfortable while I was there.
