Really useful for children's services with special parking area round the back so a long walk is not needed from the main car park. It is a real shame that this will be closing in the foreseeable future as it is a convenient location.

My daughter is pregnant and away on holiday. She has a huge phobia of needles and usually faints when she has them so needs extra support and time to prepare herself. She was told she needed an anti D injection ASAP and the only time she could have it is at the weekend at the Dilke, she was told to go last Saturday so she got busses back from her holiday then walked the 40 minutes from the bus stop to be told on arrival they dont actually have it, they asked her to come back next week and assured her they would have it in. She is still on holiday so for a second time, she took several busses then walked the 40 minutes to her appointment only to be told on arrival that they have forgotten about her again. She called before she left just to double check they hadn't messed up again but they didn't bother answering the phone. She has spent the last 2-3 days feeling sick with nerves (for the second time) and the hospital are well aware of her phobia and how needles affect her. They are also well aware she is away on holiday and is getting busses back to attend these appointments, and having to get up at 5 in the morning to do so. You don't need to be a medical professional to know that what they have put her through is incredibly bad for her and her unborn child. You are hospital staff. If you are not competent enough to actually make something better, at least try not to make it so much worse! She is currently sat outside the Dilke in tears, about to walk the 40 minutes back to the bus stop so she can return for the last day of a holiday that has been completely ruined for her by the absolute incompetence of the useless staff at the Dilke. They should be ashamed of themselves. How do you screw up that much?!

Big permanent-looking signs say minor injuries unit temporarily closed.

Not really very busy for the time of day I visited it this morning. The nurses we saw today were very helpful and cheerful and happy.

My mother passed away there on the weekend she had been in and out of hospital's for a while, the staff were outstanding very caring and we were kept well informed of everything. My mother wanted to be there as she loved the staff from a previous stay and the food was very good she said!! She also liked the setting and commented it was the 2nd best place to be other than home when she passes. The staff were genuinely upset but very professional when she passed and we cannot thank them enough for all they did to make her last days comfortable and painless, and for letting us visit and stay with her out of hours and through the night. This place deserves a medal and if you could knight a structure this little hospital would get mine and my families vote..........

Any time I go there ( I am quite a clumsy and unlucky person) I am treated with respect and treated almost as royalty and they have always helped my problems leaving only happy memories and when ever I was in pain the nurse would always do something so random for example just blurt out " I had pork roast yesterday, It was great" and then she would go on to a whole conversation about it and I completely forgot about the pain. This place deserves way more attention.

Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my dad,Alan. A lovely clean, hospital with an amazing view from the window. The staff here are a credit to the NHS. I cannot thank you all enough for helping dad build up some strength after a nasty fall. It's lovely to have him back home and that is all down to the wonderful care he received. Every member of staff I saw showed so much care and compassion to the patients and visitors - from the Senior nurse to the lovely lady who did the tea rounds. Hospital care at its very best.
