Amazing surgery ! Staff and the doctors are excellent in delivering patient care. Never had any issues since me and my family joined this practice. Never come across a kinder reception staff before.

Considering the trouble facing primary care at the moment, both my girlfriend and I have found it very easy to arrange appointments as necessary. Every time we have phoned there has been a friendly receptionist who has offered an appointment within the week without fail. I work in healthcare and hear lots of unfortunate stories of people struggling with this, so feel very fortunate and am very grateful for the help we have received.

Called as my daughter had a spontaneous pain and swelling of a joint. After getting all the information by a receptionist she appeared to face spoken to someone else and advised to go to minor injuries. When I explained it’s not an injury still that was the advice. Also had several other experiences with myself where there was no compassion, caring response from doctor in the surgery. Only the nurse practitioner is at least a kind person.

Always received the best service from this surgery, the receptionists are so lovely and helpful as are the doctors. I have always managed to get a quick appointment never have I had to wait weeks for one unlike my previous doctors at The park surgery they were dreadful to deal with and the receptionist were rude! 5* Service here always.

I have been limping around on a sore knee since last Nov 2022. So I went to the Surgery 3 weeks ago I seen Dr Churcher who sent me straight out to Chepstow Hospital for an X-ray. A few days later the Dr rang me at home an relayed the findings to me. We discussed the ongoing treatment and now I am on the road to a comfortable recovery. Can’t thank you all enough. Reception 5*. Nurse 5*. Doctor 5*.

Let’s start by saying this surgery is far better than Ringland. However as of late it has taken 60+ calls to get through and when I do I feel palmed off with the wrong information. Called 2x with separate issues the first time was told to go to the pharmacy at boots. I did as I was told and boots said they couldn’t help the repeat tablets I needed would have to be prescribed by my gp. The second time I called the receptionist who is always polite checked with a nurse and again tried to send me elsewhere and after I followed up that route they couldn’t help. I do feel like it’s probably not our fault but I’m sick of chasing around in circles. I think this is a common problem everywhere at the moment. They don’t want to see you. Have no appointments and it takes ages to get through.

Recently switched doctors due to moving house and I was so impressed and appreciative of the friendly staff at the surgery. They are much better than my previous where I felt guilty for calling them.

26/8 I went to the surgery to get an appointment for my 12 year old nephew who had a ear infection.. I explained that he was in a lot of pain and fluid weeping from his ear.. I continued to explain we had been abroad and he had completed a course of antibiotics whilst away for a ear infection but this has come back. the lady I was speaking to was actually the practice manager. She told me there were no appointments and I would need to.call the out of hours number when the closed, 80 minutes later. It takes minutes to look in a ear and give a prescription! Now as a minor they have a duty of care to see him .. but she was adamant that the doctor was too busy. I spoke to a few staff during the night on the 111 line who told me that the doctor should have seen him and how bad he had been treated by the practice manager. I am so annoyed that I wasn’t more persistent. As I worked in a gp surgery as a receptionist and was always told if under 16 we have a duty of care to add them to the list to see the doctor! As I write this it is 4.30am and I’m still waiting for the actual doctor to call… he is crying in pain and unable to sleep! Absolutely disgraceful service from the GP surgery as this could have been sorted hours ago for what would have taken minutes!

Great place to go when you ned them, They will go out of their way to help, never seem limited by time. The website address information is wrong on Google though, even on the NHS Wales website, Llanmartin is Llanmartin. Underwood is Underwood. They are connected by a road and alleys. Llanmartin is not in Underwood nor vice versa. The main photo on Google is of the Community Hall. The surgery is shown in a smaller photo.
