This health centre is great I have used it several times now and can always get an appointment, the Dr's are thorough and caring and there's even a follow up service! Very impressed so far and glad I chose to register here. Thank you!
Every time I come to this doctors the first thing they say is : we recommend you to go to the pharmacy, i came today after 13 days of vomiting, been vomiting green, then dark green and bits of blood, got to a point where I was not able to stand up at all because my body got so weak, asked for some blood test and been told NO, and again to go to the pharmacy, after back and forth I will wait 2 hours to been seen without having any tests. The disassociation from people in this GP it is astonishing, never wants to give appoiments, even if you can be dying, every can be fix by the pharmacy! They might have training but they are not doctors, as basically because I'm not dead I better go to the pharmacy? Been vomiting for 13 days, green, dark green and bits of blood, need tests done not people on my face telling me to ask to the pharmacy. Let's have be decently with people around you. I have always had a pleasant experience with this GP practice. All the procedures and consultations I've had with nurses and doctors have been all throughout thoughtful and supportive. Every concern I had has been addressed and taken seriously. Update August 2025: Couldnt recommend more. Wonderful and caring team. My GP Dr. Sinclair is very compassionate and open-minded doctor. He has shown exceptional care, understanding and support during my mental health crisis. I especially appreciated him offering different treatment options and respecting my choice and autonomy.
Been with this practice since late 2023, I have never had a bad experience, reception staff have always been helpful and polite. My Dr is fabulous, very understanding and supportive, on occasion where I have seen a different GP I have also found them to be very good as well. I have used the online Econsult on the odd occasion which is fantastic it you have a non urgent matter. When ringing to speak to reception I find the call back service is also excellant and have always had a call back. After being woth my old GP practice for many many years I was worried about changing bu had to as we had moved area, I need not have worried because Horfiled HC is 100% better
Horfield Health Centre was our go-to medical practice when we lived in this part of Bristol, and it left us with nothing but positive memories. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. Although I only visited twice, both experiences were excellent. The doctors were kind, professional, and attentive, ensuring everything went smoothly. What stood out the most was the efficiency—there were no queues, and everything was handled promptly. It's truly a wonderful health centre, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area!
Called 4 times within one day. Was told if I call back at a certain time I would be given an appointment. This then changed and was promised a call back this never arrived, the receptionist well one of them have zero manners and they act as if they are the gps. Haven’t used the doctors in years and at this rate I probably won’t be seen for a few more. Waste of time
I've only been with these guys for a handful of months but couldn't recommend them more! Receptionists are lovely & fab at helping where needed. It's great to be given 1 on 1 with your own doctor, with the option to see another if yours isn't in. I've had this happen and all doctors I've bumped into have been fantastic. The midwifery team upstairs are angels and everyone's up for a chat or laugh which makes things more easy-going! :)
The receptionist are always politely and very helpful - I’ve never had a problem seeing a GP if I or my children need to, and everyone we encounter at the health centre is kind, compassionate and considerate - thank you.
This has been my GP surgery for a number of years now. Given the immense pressure services are under and have been under for several years I am impressed with the consistency and standard of care I have and continue to receive from this surgery. The receptionists are responsive and helpful, I have a named GP who has gotten to know me well over multiple visits and the nurses are friendly and supportive. I am usually able to get a same day urgent appointment when needed, otherwise I can see my named GP for less urgent issues usually in a couple of weeks. Thank you to all the fantastic staff working at Horfield Health Centre.
Very bad, reception urgently need a lession in customer service. They make you feel like an inconvience and like your wasting their time. Its a shame the role is to work with for the good of the public. They make you feel like something nasty brought in on a shoe. Would rather go into see the pharamist next doors.
