Love love love! Both Sabor, Copita and Brat are Michelin starred tapas restaurants, but Brat truly impressed me, loved every dish, especially the mussel toast, clams, octopus and the bread!! Anyone who love seafood has to give a try! Will definitely come back if we visit London again :)

We’d been saying we would come here for ages, but somehow kept putting it off — finally managed to find the time. Brat is undeniably well-known in London; securing a table at normal dining hours is nearly impossible unless you book a day or two in advance. Its sister restaurant Mountain made it onto the World’s 50 Best list, while Brat itself holds a Michelin star and appears on the 101 Best Steak Restaurants ranking. The overall feel is that of a lively bistro — slightly noisy, casual, warm. Service is friendly, dishes are consistently solid, and the desserts are especially outstanding. If you don’t mind a more energetic atmosphere, Brat is genuinely a great place for a casual meal with friends. Mussel Toast ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Light smokiness with olive-oil fragrance. Mussels are springy, with a touch of sour-spicy brightness. Moorland Beef Tartare ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The beef is tender, with a savoury seasoning and a hint of heat. However, the beef aroma is slightly muted, while sesame and garlic notes dominate instead. Roasted Scallop ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautifully roasted, aromatic and juicy; firm texture with clear fibres. The mild acidity in the seasoning enhances the scallop’s natural sweetness. Dover Sole ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Firm, delicate flesh with gentle acidity; the skin has a slight gelatinous texture. Deep, concentrated umami — aside from being bony, there is almost nothing to fault. An excellent grilled fish. Roast Duck ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stronger duck flavour; the meat is tender and still moist. The duck-liver mousse is intensely rich, but without any element to balance its heaviness. Sirloin ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Deep charcoal aroma with a perfectly crisp sear. Meat is firm with slightly lacking juices; the fat cap is clean and not greasy. Overall beef flavour is strong and layered. Cheesecake & Fig ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rich dairy with a touch of lemon. Soft centre with that signature Basque-style creaminess on the outside. The pairing of fig and cream is unexpectedly harmonious. Olive Oil Custard and Pears ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dairy richness intertwined with the freshness of olive oil. Olive oil over the ice cream gives a silky smooth texture; cookie crumbs add crispness. The pears are tender, full of aroma, finishing with a warm gentle sweetness. Total bill: £264.4 / 2 people Recommendation score: 8.5/10

Brat — 5 stars. I’ve visited this restaurant many times, and it consistently delivers a wonderful experience. The fish and meat are always of the highest quality — perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and prepared with real skill. The wine selection is also a delightful surprise each time, thoughtfully chosen and beautifully matched to the menu. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is genuinely attentive without being intrusive. A place I can wholeheartedly recommend, time and time again.

After trying multiple restaurants in London, I've come to the conclusion that British cuisine, in terms of flavours, is rather mundane and nothing out of the ordinary. Having said that, Brat definitely checked all the points for great food, though simple. Upon entering I liked how the hostess asked me where I wanted to sit and I was able to pick the table directly facing the kitchen. I had the Anchovy bread and was able to see the chef kneading the dough then placing it into the oven with expertise, so satisfying! The bread itself was the usual, but the quality of the bread and the fish; just impeccable! For the main I had the John Dory and smoked potatoes, and gotta say it was sublime! The fish was peculiar in taste...in the best way possible; subtle hints of lemon and salt really elevated the dish. The potatoes were just as delicious with the right texture and crunch on the skin. For the dessert I got the burnt cheesecake with the fig; individually the components were nothing great, but when tasted all together, it was a burst of amazing sweetness and tartiness combined...a total win there! Though I would have liked the cake to have been softer (only because it is a Michelin star establishment) but otherwise, it satisfied my palate. Service was friendly, and I liked how down to earth the demeanours of the servers were. Still, I would have appreciated if they'd asked if I wanted the potatoes to go while clearing out the table. In summary, a good place to grab a hearty meal once in a while!

The restaurant had been on my list for years but I did not know they got a Michelin star in 2025. Food was amazing from start to finish. With some Tartare, Mussels toast and Pigeon skewer to begin with. And then some Dover Sole, Mallard, vegetables and potatoes. All that with a side of bread and butter. And a cheesecake finish. Service was great and they explained everything. Wine list was also great with lots of options (including Sherry and Dessert wine) I highly recommend the place

Had a lovely dining experience there today! Went for lunch. The layout of the restaurant, where we can see the kitchen, was cool, and I like the vibe of the restaurant; it’s a little like a Manhattan style loft apartment. The waiters and waitresses were really nice. To be honest, I was more impressed with the dishes flanking the mains than the mains themselves. The oyster with tomato and olive oil was out of this world - so creamy! Really liked the bread with onion butter too. I wouldn’t recommend getting the peas and peppers, they’re not that special. The velvet crab rice was really nice, but while the lemon sole was creamy I wasn’t too impressed; maybe we take good seafood for granted back in Asia, especially fish. The mutton chop was really tender, and the side dish of butter beans and offal sausage and black pudding which came with it was delicious. But it was the desserts which really gave this experience a nice finish. The honey cake was so so nice with its lovely custard and the burnt cheesecake, which seems to be a specialty of theirs, was really creamy, like Japanese soufflé cake. Just amazing! Remember to save your stomach for dessert whenever you go to BRAT!

This is a Michelin star restaurant. Don't get me wrong, food was delicious but didn't hit my spots. I was with a group of friends and they loved it. Maybe it's just me, did not float my boat. Great ambience in a nice, vibrant neighborhood. Worth a try.

Enjoyed this meal a lot, although I was missing a bit of “wow” (one dish was just slightly bland) when it came to the main course, but the olive oil ice cream was amazing, as were the potatoes, the service was very friendly and we adored the open kitchen, the quality of the food and general atmosphere! We will still be back I am sure, perhaps we just came on the wrong day. :)

Interesting and delicious take on Spanish cuisine - loved the mushroom rice, the leeks with cheese and the clams (wasn’t the biggest fan of the wood roasted greens and the peppers). Love their decor and their drinks list is good too. Will definitely be back!

Amazing. Wonderful service, lovely staff. The food was delicious, varied and exciting. It was lovely that there was a casual vibe and it felt really unpretentious. We were really impressed, and considering how good the food is we both felt that the prices were really reasonable for a Michelin Star spot. Very happy, would recommend and return.
