   Spacious room, and perfect location. However not overall pleased with our experience. When we entered our room it had the worst smell of unwashed clothes/feet.. which was over powering and didn’t go away at all even after leaving the door to the patio open! Secondly, I nearly cut myself on the bath tap which is broken and very sharp, and the mini fridge was very dirty inside. The safe in the room wasn’t working which was upsetting as we just went shopping and had nowhere to put our personal belongings. The last point to make was when we paid, we were changed more than what our room was required and was told that this was for their service charge which was not advised at any point on booking.com! It advised 129£ all charges included and was surprised to pay more without being asked first.

   The Windsor Townhouse in Bath UK. Very nice place lovely old renovated building. We had one night here in the Laura suite. Huge bed very comfortable and good pillows. Staff were lovely and helpful. Owner had a personalised chat with quest at breakfast which was included in our fee. breakfast was great

   Nice boutique room in a great location. Steep stairs getting to the higher floors so could be difficult for those with mobility issues. Didn't appreciate the 'discretionary' (read: optional) service charge they tried to take from us upon check out. Beside that, all was good.

   Stayed here a couple of months ago for a night. Fantastic location, nice room and the receptionists were very pleasant. Unfortunately though upon entering the room, empty medicine packets and sachets were found stuffed behind either side of the TV Stand / drawers. So clearly a sloppy job and a rather unhygienic find, nevertheless the receptionist was apologetic and said that the room would be cleaned again. Came back later at night to find a key left in the outside of the door, with the room unlocked - obviously a major concern and security issue. Luckily none of our things were taken, and a bonus that the medication sachets had been removed. Returning the ‘spare’ key to reception, the senior member of staff didn’t seem particularly bothered and offered little in the way of an apology for our room door being open all day and evening, along with the key in the door. I left the hotel feeling pretty disappointed and let down as you can imagine, and found it quite jarring that staff were pretty blasé towards security issues and problems that were of their own making.

   Stayed here as the location was perfect.. in Bath city centre and within walking distance of all local attractions. Parking is available 24hours at Podium Cark park, around a 5-10 minute walk from Wyndsor Guesthouse. Both of these were perfect for our stay and was looking forward to staying at the 5* guesthouse. We were greeted by the host who was wonderful, charming and informative on local attractions, bars and restaurants. We were located on the 3rd floor - very steep stairs, so bear this in mind if you're unsteady on your feet, have vertigo or don't like curvy stairs. The room we were given was not 5* unfortunately, the tv is very outdated, although it works, the decor is extremely old, curtains were ripped and didn't close properly, the water provided was in a glass jug with a grey rim around the top of the water, we didn't bother drinking it, the kettle and bedside tables were very dusty and there was only 2 milk sachets in the fridge. The cupboard in the bathroom was riddled with dust balls and there was no White Company Toiletries as described. On a positive note, though, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the view from the window was pretty, and the radiator worked. The breakfast was lovely and filling, and the staff were extremely friendly. From entering the gorgeous building, we did not expect our room to be so different from the rest of the ambience and decor throughout. The room let us down really and is definitely not 5* in our own opinion, maybe because we booked through booking.com and not direct. Other rooms might be of higher standard though and from the photos provided on the website, they definately are. Our room was not displayed in their image gallery. We recommend this guesthouse as a good, central base for exploring bath and for a good breakfast and hospitsble staff. Maybe request a room on the lower floors.

   Lovely B & B located on a beautiful, centrally located street in Bath. We enjoyed three nights at the Windsor and the highlights were its great location close to the Abbey, shopping and restaurants; the delicious and filling daily breakfasts but, most of all the amazing guest service. The owner and staff went above and beyond to accommodate us even doing our laundry at no charge! The room was quite comfortable and roomy but in all honesty I do feel the room was dated and in need of some minor upkeep/repair. I also don't feel the accommodation reflected a true 5 star establishment, more a 4 star. That being said, the customer care and genuine welcoming atmosphere we experienced bumped the Windsor up to my 5 star rating.

   I feel very guilty because although I stayed in this beautiful hotel in May I have just got round to writing a review. I am so sorry. A really fabulous ten night stay here…the staff were just amazingly friendly, the owner helpful and thoughtful. The room was beautifully furnished …I had a comfortable and fabulous four poster bed with good quality bed linen. The bathroom was fully equipped and there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Breakfast excellent and a good variety of cooked meals. When I left and arrived at my next destination I realized I had left 5 dresses in the drawer. I phoned the hotel and without hesitation they sent them on to me and they arrived the following day…with no charge. An excellent service. I would certainly stay here again if I visit Bath…. Without a doubt. I just loved my stay here. Thank you….

   It was a beautiful house but no way was it 5 star. I found the room really dated and very old fashioned. Marks in the bath, dirty cups, having to unplug lamps just so you could turn them off. We stayed in the Abbey Room. However Scarlet front of house was exceptional, attentive polite kind and nothing was too much trouble, an asset to the business, along with Owen who made and served the breakfast. Owen was an excellent chief- eggs to die for with excellent service another credit to the business. Overall a fabulous stay in Bath, however more like a 4 star as opposed to 5!

   We booked this place for a night last minute, and loved it even more than our longer stay elsewhere. They made late check in super easy and gave really helpful clear instructions. The room was beautiful and the bathroom super nice and spacious (even with a tub to fit taller folks). I'd definitely stay here again, just note there's no elevator so suitcases can be a little bit of a pain up the stairs. The location is also super walkable!

   A lovely hotel with bright airy, spacious and comfortable rooms, with nice White Company toiletries and lovely views of Bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. The breakfast included fruit, cereal, excellent croissants toast, Juice and Tea/Coffee. If you want something more substantial, there is a wide choice of great cooked breakfasts at an additional cost of c£8-10. Parking can be tricky but permits are provided at an extra cost of £15. Overall good value for comfortable stay in beautiful location.
