My mum and I stayed at The Henry Guest House for the first time, and we were thoroughly impressed. The location is excellent: parking is conveniently situated just across the street, and the property is right in the heart of the city while still offering a peaceful retreat away from the noise and bustle. The lady who manages The Henry Guest House christina was exceptional. She was polite, friendly, and consistently attentive, not only to us but to all guests, as we observed during breakfast. We will certainly return. While the rooms are older and the guest house has a uniquely quirky character, this only adds to its charm—after all, the building is nearly 300 years old, and you can truly feel the history within its walls. If you are seeking efficient, welcoming service and an excellent breakfast, this is the ideal place for you. For those expecting a modern 5-star hotel, it may not be the right fit, but for everyone else: stay, stay, stay—you will not be disappointed.

Did not have a good experience. Old, musty room with dusty conditions (not suitable for people with dust allergy). We raised it to airbnb (through which we booked) and had to move from there (to another hotel paying double due to short notice). As retaliation, the host reported us having a quarrel (me and my husband) and cited it as the reason we moved out (which i found very absurd since 1. There was not a quarrel of any kind 2. How would she know we were having arguments unless she was involved in our privacy? ) Very weird experience on our wedding anniversary trip…

Good little guesthouse literally just around the corner to the town centre and within a very short walking distance to the station. Had a cute little room on the upper floor with private bathroom across the landing (the bathrobe was a very useful addition!). The room, despite on the small side (which was stated on the website, so I knew what I was getting myself into, no complaining here), was very comfortable. The only minor downside was the hairdryer which could do with more heat and power. The breakfast was fresh and really good!

Rooms are quite old-fashioned as expected from a Georgian era house. The location is quite inaccessible for differently-abled folk. The rooms could do with more electrical outlets and the wi-fi connectivity was poor. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was promptly served and portions were well prepared. On the day of our check-out, we were advised that we could use the room for the rest of the day as well, until our departure, since the next booking was not until the afternoon of the next day. We graciously accepted the offer and made use of the conveniences before boarding our train. The location is very conveniently situated and is walkable from the train station or the town centre.

Fantastic Value! Christina is a gem - from booking to check out she was easy to contact and work with. When we were going to be on a tour prior to the time of breakfast, she packed us a wonderful to go bag with breakfast AND lunch items. While on the subject of food, breakfast starts with fresh fruit on your table. Then Christina comes by asking tea or coffee and offering croissants. There are cereals and yogurts on a side table and Christina also offers hot cooked to order breakfast along with toast. She made sure we knew about the best tourist activities as well. Our room was spacious enough with a comfortable bed and a nice closet and bureau for clothing. The bathroom was small, but that's to be expected given the age of the building. I highly recommend Christina and The Henry Guest House.

Great location! Never met owner. The lady in the breakfast room was very nice. Terrible mattresses, sore backs from these lumpy and saggy mattresses. Hotel needs a good cleaning. Carpets looked grubby. The chairs in our room needed replacing.

Great location. Rooms a little small. Lots of stairs no lift. Lovely breakfast

I cannot say enough about the Henry guest house. The instructions for check in are clear and helpful. Christina sends loads of messages to make sure you are all set up. The location is perfect and close to everything. When we arrived. Our room as ready and stunning. We felt like visiting a family friend and not a B&B. My girls loved the room and said it was the nicest they had seen. Sadly we left before breakfast. Definitely would recommend and will return.

Christina was a great hostess, the room was small, but the location was bang on ,in the centre of Bath , parking was a bit tricky and expensive but but as I said The Henry is in a great location. The breakfast provided was nothing short of excellent . I would highly a recommend a stay there.

Great rooms and even better service. The breakfast was delicious. You could not beat the location. Coming from over seas we had a credit card issue before arrival, but the staff was extremely easy to work with. After check out, we were also able to leave our bags while we explored Bath. It was truly a delight!
