We stayed two nights at the Clayton Hotel. It’s in a fantastic location right in the heart of Bristol. From the hotel, it’s a short distance to pretty much everywhere. Major bus lines run nearby, and the coach station (BBCS) is only about a 10-minute walk away—so if you’re arriving in Bristol from Heathrow, the bus drops you close to the hotel. Check-in was quick and smooth. Our room was spacious, stylishly modern, clean, and quiet. The bed was excellent. Breakfast at the hotel was good, with special porridge and omelettes available on request. This hotel is truly worth recommending!

A superb stay in Bristol, close to city centre, bus routes and restaurants, cafes and bars . We were at the university open day , it was a 10 minute walk to the university. We used a deluxe room ( double with single ) for three people, the room was spacious , the bathroom was extremely clean .the service was excellent. Check in and checkout was easy , 24/7 reception staff available. Ice dispenser in the corridor was very useful. The breakfast buffet- perfectly cooked and tasty hot English breakfast along with a wide selection of fruits, yogurts, cheeses as well as English continental options, Highly recommend to book breakfast online when you book the room . A five star experience in Bristol!

Lovely hotel, perfect location for our shopping day. Very easy to book, find and check in. Bright clean airy rooms. Room service, tea coffee facilities, A/c and good hot shower! Nothing not to like and very reasonable price £116 a night for 2 people with breakfast, checkout at 11am. Can't say about parking as we got the train in, pleasent 15 min walk along the canal from Bristol Temple Meads.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were great with very comfortable beds. The choice at breakfast was good and the food tasty. The service at breakfast could be improved. On the first day I waited around 10 minutes for the bacon and scrambled eggs to be replenished. There seemed to be a lack of staff, with only two visible in the restaurant and one of those disappeared for a lot of the time we were there. The second day was better with more staff but I think they could be more aware when guests are seated to rerun to take hot orders rather than guests having to get up to find someone to take the order. Overall though we enjoyed our stay here and would return.

I had a wonderful business stay at the Clayton Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made the biggest impression, every interaction was with a smile, and they genuinely went out of their way to help. The interiors are modern and elegant, with an excellent aesthetic throughout. My room was very comfortable, the bed was perfect for a restful night, and the overall design felt both professional and relaxing. The hotel’s location was ideal for me just a short walk to my office and within easy reach of the city centre. Dining was another highlight. The dinner was very good, and the breakfast stood out with a wide variety of options, all well-prepared and served on time. Plenty of space in the dining area made for a relaxed start to the day. A special mention to the team, I had forgotten my phone charger, and they kindly let me charge my phone at the reception. Small gestures like this really show the hotel’s commitment to its guests. Overall, both the rooms and the staff are commendable. My stay was smooth, enjoyable, and truly pleasant. I would not hesitate to recommend the Clayton Hotel for business or leisure stays alike.

Large modern hotel, in a good location close to Bristol centre. The room was large, well equipped, although fairly bland design. The room and the rest of the hotel were immaculately clean. Only are breakfast which was fine, your standard hotel buffet. The restaurant does get really busy for breakfast, with some gaps in the choices available. Staff were consistently welcoming and helpful.

Great hotel, in a great location. Room was warm, clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent, only criticism I have, was the breakfast, not as enjoyable as I thought, it was going to be. Hot food was dry and Luke warm, would have liked a friend egg but only scrambled on offer. Will be back as everything else was spot on.

Stayed on company business. Room was clean and spacious. Despite being right next to the lift this wasnt a issue at all. Rooms were cleaned daily, and to a very high standard. Christopher at the front desk was very friendly, lots of dinner ideas and very patient when checking in as it took a while due to being paid on a company card. Restaurant looked really nice. Bar staff friendly, good choice of drinks and lots of space to sit/work if you wanted a change of scenery Will be back next month and really excited. Also felt quite safe and is in a great central location.

I recommend this hotel! Hotel is in a great spot, modern, and the hotel room was very nice and well laid out. The bathrooms were quite spacious and very clean. The 3 stars is based on the general restaurant experience. As for the restaurant, the service was slow and the food overall was not to expectations. There were a few times I had to ask for plates to be taken, dessert to be served and also drinks for the table. In addition, I had purchased a 3 course meal which was not worth the £25 offered. For the main course, a slice of "ham" which was more like a piece of bacon was provided. For a 4 star restaurant, I am not sure how this could possibly be placed on a menu, cooked by a chef, and delivered by a waiter. I did not feel like a customer, more of a transaction. For me, the restaurant had brought down the overall experience with this hotel. Luckily, I found much better restaurants around the general area of the hotel.

I found this hotel to be excellent in every aspect. It was easy to find, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Sophie at Reception was extremely thorough and informative with a big smile and friendly demeanour. The rooms were very clean and well presented with tea and coffee making facilities, a hair dryer and a workspace. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and allowed for a restful nights sleep. The gym was clean and tidy. Breakfast was good and had options of Cereals, fruit, yoghurts, breads, pastries as well as full English Breakfast options. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
