Dropped in Sunday evening. Great atmosphere and not too busy. We ordered The Elvis, The Danny McDyer, and The Straight Up — all cooked well and full of flavour. The place has a rustic, quirky feel with a relaxed atmosphere, great service, and everything spotless. A solid spot for a proper burger.
We came here for dinner and had a mediocre experience. We each ordered the Napoleon burger with beef. The service was friendly but extremely slow, as we probably waited 30-40 minutes for our food to arrive, and ultimately the burger and fries were just okay. However, the portions were definitely generous, and the student discount was great. Overall an okay experience, but probably wouldn’t return.
My son and I were visiting from the U.S. and we looked for quirky pubs for dinner. This place fit the bill. You could spend a month looking at all of the photos, stickers, and items on the wall. We sat outside since the weather was nice. Despite having to sit near a guy who had to make sure all of London could hear him, it was great. We both got a couple of beers and I got the Lord Nelson, a burger with with bacon and egg. It was really good, but impossible to eat like a hamburger. Service was great!
Wonderful experience, and wall of text incoming! We were three tourists who wanted to eat and drink a little, before heading to the airport. Luckily for us, we stumbled on this place when looking at maps! We arrived right before the kitchen closed, which is the worst time to order for the staff, but they still served us with a smile. The burgers were absolutely stellar! Unique mixes of toppings with great taste and texture. With sides of LOADS of fries and some coleslaw, none of us could even finish the whole plate. Serving the buns without sauce, and instead having all of it on the table, was a great feature since it allowed extra "customisation". There weren't a lot of people during our visit, but the atmosphere and decorations were very unique. And just my taste! Would give 6 stars if I could.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I visited Lord Nelson on Union Street and tried their Big Fat Burger, and it definitely lived up to the name! The burger was packed full of flavour, topped with a perfectly cooked fried egg, fresh salad, and served with crispy fries and creamy coleslaw. Every bite felt hearty and satisfying. The atmosphere in the pub was warm and welcoming, with a great vibe that made the meal even more enjoyable. Both the staff and the other customers were genuinely friendly, which added to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a place in London that serves up generous portions, delicious food, and great service, I highly recommend giving the Big Fat Burger at Lord Nelson a try.

Lovely, vibrant, colourful pub. Great crowds. And then, the burgers: they are beyond fantastic. I almost had tears in my eyes eating mine. Amazing. My new favourite pub in London. Seriously.
You can really have fantastic burgers in this bar! They are so hearty but also so delicious. The meat has very high quality and they often have a selection of beef, lamb, venison and some others. Try the Farage lol! No in all seriousness, their onion rings were really great and the burger with scampis and blue cheese was awesome.
Very good chips, really good beer, and decor that made me think of Nathan Barley. I think it's worth a visit just to enjoy the decoration, but don't go if you want to visit a traditional English pub. The burgers have a good reputation, but I don't know if that's deserved or not because I didn't have one. Let's assume it is.
Amazing wild boar burgers. Perfectly seasoned chips. Generous portions. Nice, quirky atmosphere. Definitely one of the best burger places out there! ❤️
