Terrible the teachers are careless lot of bullys and my son has to sit outside for no reason and the kids and teachers discriminat my kid and bad school food and one of the teachers don't talk to my kid and she was't busy and she is doing nothing i know she is in a good mood never ever let your kids in here its like hell
My daughter has attended this nursery since September and we all love it. This was the first time we had left her with anybody other than my parents and I was initially quite anxious about doing so. ALL staff at Ethelred put me at ease very quickly and this helped my daughter and I to settle in. She now loves attending and is excited about going every day she attends. I have seen such an advancement in my daughter with speech, use of language and her vocabulary. She loves interacting with all of her nursery friends and enjoys a wide variety of activities offered. She continues to grow and we are so grateful to have found such an amazing nursery. One of the things I love most about Ethelred is the diversity of both children and staff, such a lovely mix of people working together to provide the best for the children in their care. The staff to child ratio is great and we couldn't ask for more. Thank you all so much.
Our daughter has gone to Ethelred Nursery School for the last two years, and we would highly recommend it. The staff are lovely, very warm, caring and professional and go above and beyond for the children. Our girl has adored both her key workers. As a nursery school they take the children's development seriously, and have really helped her to grow in confidence, get creative - and even learn to write her name! The facilities are good, much bigger than other nurseries we saw; there are always lots of activities going on and lots of artwork as well as learning through play. When we started, the settling in process was done thoughtfully and carefully. All the staff in the younger class are so warm and caring, and manage the little ones very well. There's lots of fun and attention in the older class, and our daughter is really stimulated. She just loves being there. Looking forward to when her little brother is old enough to attend! The admin staff are friendly, responsive and helpful too, and help make the place the warm, welcoming nursery school it is. Would highly recommend. -- Our baby also attends sessions at the Children's Centre and would definitely recommend. Staff are engaging, with brilliant ideas for sensory play. They are also really knowledgeable and kind, and the sessions really useful.
We have two boys. Our eldest attended the nursery last year and "graduated" this year. Now is our youngest's turn...The building is very new and modern, always very clean and tidy with very good facilities. What does make it stand out though, I think are its people and we couldn't ask for more from a nursery; Very friendly, honest, family-like staff , yet extremely professional with always clear communication with us parents. We have seen our kids learning and developing every day and you can actually see the difference; they are more sociable, more responsible, and are building their personality day by day. We never heard them complaint and not want to go to school. Our younger son was always difficult to keep happy and entertain, yet somehow the ETHELRED teaching staff have managed to get him engaged and involved in so many activities now. Our eldest is outperforming at the reception this year and always getting praised for his good behaviour, his thirst for knowledge and his creative mind I am very convinced that this is thanks to the extremely good foundations he managed to build during his time at the Ethelred.
Both my children currently attend Ethelred nursery. After doing a thorough search for a nursery suited to our needs, Ethelred popped up. In my desperation to find an 'outstanding' nursery I even tried to apply before my children turned 2 years old. The receptionist was and is still amazing. She advised me on how and when I needed to submit my placement application, and regularly kept me up to date with the progress. The facilities, staff and resources are next to none, I couldn't ask for a better place for my children to be educated. The staff/key-workers are very professional and extremely informative, they work very well together as a team. I am regularly updated on how my children's day was, even how lunch went that day. The staff are very caring and my children warm to them nicely and always look forward to going to nursery each day. I have seen many improvements in my children's development since attending Ethelred. The resources available to support them have been consistent and are continuing to amaze me. Amazing nursery.
My daughter has been going to this nursery since we came out of the first lockdown and she absolutely loves it. We haven't had any negative experiences or reasons to complain. The first time we went to view the nursery, we were amazed at the space the children have to play and explore. The staff are always welcoming and ready to have a chat about your child's progress. A lot of times when my daughter comes back from nursery, she role plays her experience with her dolls and teddy bears like she is teaching them, that really helps me to see how she is developing. I am grateful for the teachers and the work they are doing. As a parent, I have the comfort in knowing that Ethelred Nursery is providing the best environment for my daughters growth right now.
The best nursery! Amazing experience with my children. Very professional, friendly staff. Caring for the kids, allowing time to develop their skills, small ratio of kids to teacher. Feels like family. Approachable, available to discuss with parents any time if any concerns arise. Very impressed! Comparing to issues that I hear from other parents from other nurseries I believe that we are sooo lucky that our kids are going to Ethelred nursery!! Also the building is new with big outside playing area very well equipped and extremely clean!!! Many bathroom facilities for the kids easily accessible.Something that we did not see to any of the other nurseries that we visited prior to our decision- even the private ones. Highly recommended!! We feel so privileged that our kids have the chance to start their school steps in such a wonderful environment!!!
