We previously had our house on the market with another estate agent -they never gave any feedback on viewings and viewings very very stagnant. We then viewed a property that was on with Taylor’s and Jane Cook from Downend showed us around straight away I could tell she was the type of estate agent we wanted on our property. She knew straight away the layout of the property without viewing it and knew the general area very well. We are pleased to say that Jane took our property on and delivered as promised and sold our house ! Jane was always informative , honest and knew her stuff. I would highly recommend Taylor’s but Jane even more so she is a true credit to the company.
My sale took close to 17 months from offer acceptance to completion because of various legal enquiries but Rosa Francis, the sales negotiator, was extremely patient the entire time. The process was frustrating at times but whenever I had a question or needed an update, she was happy to communicate despite her busy work schedule. Her calm and patient attitude also made her very approachable. When the transaction time reached beyond 12 months, the seller demanded a steep increase in the initially agreed purchase price, or cancel the sale altogether! The new price was not affordable for me and cancelling the sale wasn't beneficial to either side. However, I was impressed when Rosa was able to negotiate the price down to an amount suitable to both sides. Towards the end of the process, when we were discussing completion dates, there was a sudden uncertainty from the seller to proceed. However, Rosa was willing to be very accommodating and do everything possible for the seller to complete on time (for example, she told me that she offered the seller to scan and send the required contract exchange documentation herself to enable on-time completion). Additionally, the seller's demand for the short time frame between exchange and completion meant that my solicitors required an expedition fee from the seller, who was unwilling to pay. But Rosa encouraged me to negotiate the waiving of that fee with my solicitors, again, to achieve the required completion date. This was successfully done and thankfully, completion was achieved on the agreed date. Overall, I think Rosa is a skilled negotiator, resilient in the face of purchase process uncertainties and approachable to clients. This makes her an excellent sales person.

We have moved house quite a few times and when viewing a property prior to selling, we met with Jane on a viewing , she was very professional and extremely pro-active in contacting us helping to find our dream home, which prompted us to instruct her to sell our home.
