We stumbled upon this gem just as they were about to open for a live music night. Such a wonderful operation with friendly volunteers and regulars, a warm atmosphere, and affordable drinks! In between sets we got a look of the historic engine and enjoyed beautiful night views of the floating harbor. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Bristol!
Great wee hidden-in-plain-sight gem right next to the MShed. We were just walking by, saw an old boat with a sign saying free live music and decided to head in. All the volunteers were super friendly, they give tours of the engine room, and you're pretty much free to wander on deck. The music was charming and obviously had a lot of regulars in the audience. Cheap beer and a fine selection of drink. Great fun all round!
Love this place, full of history and friendly faces! Great work from all the volunteers! They also have great music nights sporadically
Attractive old pleasure steamer that's open to visitors, with very informative displays inside that cover the vessel's history in detail. Interesting to get a look at the engine room. There are volunteers on hand to answer questions, and it's free to look on board.

A ship from the late 1950s, it was also used for the movie Stan and Ollie.
A wonderful visit to this iconic vessel. The enthusiasm and knowledge of the crew is to be commended. She is currently berthed at her summer moorings in Hotwells, which is easily found opposite Great Britain. I hope that they receive the richly deserved reward of being able to return Balmoral to the sea.
