   The tour of Greenland - Disko Bay was very good and the scenery was stunning. We knew it was a ‘loose group tour’ so no guide but we encountered many problems with travel along the way with no contact from Greenland Travel. Thankfully one of the Danish members of the tour group contacted them on each occasion the flight got cancelled - Greenland Travel are not proactive in making sure the tour group gets from A to B. The issues with the planes seem many - mechanical faults and weather problems. There doesn’t seem to be enough accommodation to deal with the cancellations - as one guide told us they use the sports hall to accommodate stranded tourists on occasions. That said it was an interesting itinerary, beautiful scenery and we thoroughly enjoyed it despite the travel issues.

   Wonderful visit to Azores and individual tours of 5 islands with expert guides . HOWEVER BEWARE! These islands are in middle of the Atlantic and subject to unpredictable weather. Our 14 day holiday was subjected to hours of tiring delays in airport lounges. Spent one full day at airport before flight was finally cancelled.Next day flight delayed some three hours arriving without my wife’s luggage.An island tour left us at 9.30 pm at a remote self catering accommodation with no hot water. Another day of delays followed with the flight finally leaving at 1 am!!! OH SO TIRED 87 year olds.

   We had an absolutely fantastic holiday in Norway. 2 nights in Oslo, 2 in Flam and 2 in Bergen, travelling by air, rail, road and fjord. All of our tickets were organised by Regent and everything worked like clockwork. I would definitely recommend.

   Slovenia with our own tour guide who was considerate and pleasant, and took us to such beautiful and interesting places. We could avoid the crowds and still enjoy the honey pots. Lovely roads through picturesque countryside with forests and flowering meadows, castles and caves. We loved Slovenia.

   We have used ITC for many years to plan exceptional holiday. When we decided to go to Iceland our ITC agent, Nick Upperton, told us that Regent Holidays were part of the same group and that he would get them to contact me. Almost immediately Emma Brown from Regent was in touch and after hearing our initial thoughts for the holiday she put together a fabulous itinerary including ideal local flights, a great hotel and some amazing tours. We had fantastic time in Iceland it was timed to perfection and was so straightforward and ideal for us. Thank you Emma for your friendly and professional approach and your in depth knowledge of the country, you certainly know your business. Once again we have wonderful memories from using this brilliant company.

   We travelled with Regent to the Baltic States in 1995 on a self drive holiday. This was before they joined the EU, when the Soviet style of service was alive and kicking. We pre-booked accommodation in both Tallinn and Riga with Regent, sailing from Harwich to Gothenberg and from Stockholm to Tallinn booked through DFDS. It all worked wonderfully well, we had an absolute blast, returning via Helsinki

   We haven't booked a package holiday / trip with a travel company for years - but as it was all last minute, we went with Regent Holidays, also my MiL recommended them. We weren't disappointed. Ida Marinova was great, she answered our queries and updated us regularly (as it was a bit last minute - we were keen to know if we'd actually get on the flight and tour). We went to Iceland, on the Volcanoes & Glaciers 6days / 5 nights Tour - it was awesome, thoroughly enjoyable. Everything and more that Ida said it would be. Well done Ida, you certainly advised us well. Thank you.

   We were recommended to use Regent Holidays for our Russia trip. We did their ‘Essential Moscow and St Petersburg’ trip and loved every minute of it. Real personal touch, lots of advice on hand if you needed it. When we were in Russia, transfers and guides were amazing. Victor, our guide in St Petersburg was the highlight of our trip! Only slight disappointment was quality of some of the hotels. Wouldn’t say their star rating is the same as the UK as some properties felt very dated but clean and did the job. Wouldn’t normally use a travel agency but for Russia, this really did make everything must easier.
