avoid. they issued the wrong prescription which I paid for and then wouldn't refund me as I had stepped outside the store with it even though it was sealed and I had literally only just bought it
The system at Boots Batheaston is hopeless. The helpful reception staff have to wait for the pharmacist to sign off a prescription which often means a 20 minute or more wait if the pharmacist is doing a consultant or a flu jab. This is unacceptable and needs to be reviewed. In our latest wait the pharmacist was sitting in her consultation room not seeing anyone, yet they were still not able to prioritise customers who were waiting for prescriptions to be fulfilled. If this is their "system", then it doesn't work! I have had to leave my vulnerable parents for over an hour for what should have been a 15 min whizz to pick up an urgent prescription.
They are very good but always very very busy

Opening times are incorrect. This needs to be updated. I wasted a lunch break driving to Batheaston, only to find it closes for an hour at lunch. What sort of business closes at lunch in this day and age? Lunchtime is when half the country do errands.
Convenient location for a pharmacy and the service I receive from them is consistently excellent. It’s invaluable to have such a well-stocked local pharmacy in the village!

Incredibly friendly, helpful and professional staff. Work really well and efficiently in conjunction with the local GP's + their online medication portal. Open until 6 too, which is useful if need to fetch items on way home from work.
For a small, village pharmacy this Boots carries a decent range of goods. They'll also order in items for you if they don't carry them as standard stock. The staff are friendly and helpful and there's lots of parking across the road.
