Joots pharmacy are the most unreliable outfit. They advertise their opening hours but that has no corelation to the actual opening hours. They should close their doors and let some else run the chemist.

Not open on a Saturday - change your damn advertised opening hours! People of Portishead, please donβt get unwell as the town is rubbish for pharmacies. They should never have closed Boots. Just absolutely ridiculous.

the worst pharmacy ever - no customer service what ever ! - sometimes lots of staff looking busy mixing there potions but not attending to the long queues that are forming and that they are completely oblivious too - a disaster of a place - the usual queue below

Queue always long and when you get to be served they do not have your prescription. Slow inefficient sullen staff.

I can forgive them for being slow due to short staff, even my prescription being lost twice, so I've had to go back too my gp and waste their precious time - I guess mistakes happen and perhaps I've been unlucky? However, if they're busy behind the counter when you arrive they will ignore you until they're done, no "be with you in a minute" or even a nod to acknowledge your presence, just completely ignore you and as being polite is free and takes no time, that is unforgivable.

The service has definitely improved since they've got new staff. I've had bad experiences in the past with trying to get my prescription, but my recent experiences have pleasant and little fuss.

Bad experience every single time! I have high dependency on few medication and can not stop them. Every time they run out of stock and takes ages to get them. Always with an excuse of shortage of staff! This time I have requested my repeat prescription well in advance allowing the pharmacy 2 full weeks to prepare. To my utter surprise, they still did not manage and missing couple of my medication with no idea of when they will be available. I had to run to GP surgery again to get prescription for those missing and get them from Boots. They did not have full amount also but got them sourced for me within 24 hours as they appreciate the critical nature. Thatβs how a pharmacy should be. If you can, please stay away from this place.

Went for a total of 3 times because each time they said my prescription hadnβt arrived, even though the app said it had been delivered there. On their suggestion I went to the GP to make sure they hadnβt received it by mistake. Shock, horror they hadnβt and turns out Lloyds had lost it. Not to mention each visit there took around 40 minutes, due to the fact that they move at glacier speeds to get prescriptions completed. If your life relies on your medication Iβd suggest changing pharmacy as you might just find yourself dying in the queue.
