Went to see Bookashade last week, it's a decent venue but ill prepared for winter nights as no insulation whatsoever. Outside toilets. Was the 1st time I've seen a dj in a coat indoors, so make sure you wear layers if going over the cold period!

Had some of the best nights of my life here. Great line ups, always. Those lasers were put up with lots of love and the sound system is absolutely fantastic. Big loss for the city of Bristol, things won’t be the same once Motion is gone.

First time visiting there for an event, and by god is it loud. It really gave me 'warehouse' vibes for raving. The unapologetic harshness of the concrete floors, steel and the overly loud system. Our night we visited for was Anjunadeep - brilliant night. The system complimented the type of music we were there for. It really does "thud" through you. I promise you, at the front of the sound stage you will be feeling that bass turn your insides upside down. There is a lovely sweet spot in the middle where the bass isn't so heavy and you can hear the dynamic range a little more. When you're there, it's a good place to be. Drinks were a little on the steep side mind you, but there was plenty of staff and I rarely had to wait. I was told by a local they are planning to demolish this place for flats and it would be a crying shame. Venues like this need to remain within public culture - they bring a well needed source of entertainment and feeling of being able to hide yourself from the problems of day to day life - even if only for a little while. Great club, great venue.

Awesome venue with fantastic sound system! Main room is huge, and the upstairs areas offer great views and more space to dance! Smaller room is more intimate but the sound is very good. Arrived at about 11 on a sold out night and was very easy to get in, got searched but not to a crazy extent. Water station positioned in one of the bars, soap and paper in toilets, and really cool outdoor areas (especially the small one).

Wow! Queue time for Sasha, John Digweed and Nick Warren went surprisingly quickly and smoothly. Entrance to two different rooms was well sound proofed so little if any interference. Drinks were understandably expensive, but that's club prices for you! Toilets were clean enough! Sound system was INCREDIBLE. Dance floor heaving with good natured clubbers! Think that's the older generation for you! Seeing these ABSOLUTE LEGENDS up close and personal (we made it to the front and stayed until 5:00am!) was quite emotional. A wonderful night out and a sunrise walk home! Cheers Motion! Brilliant xx

Fantastic venue. First visit for me and my lad to see the Anjunadeep European tour. Staff and security are super friendly, awesome crowd and probably one of the loudest and best sounding sound systems you could ever wish to hear. Brilliant :)

Such a good night out, definitely a "blast" the queues were pretty long to get in but they were very efficient on the door to move everybody along quickly. Amazing atmosphere and no problems whatsoever despite the enormous amount of people. Will be coming back for Halloween next year

28th Halloween rave at Motion this year was terrible. Overcrowded which was super dangerous and oversold tickets which meant we had to wait nearly 2 hours to get in! The toilets weren’t managed properly so the wait was 45 minutes but toilets were empty? It was terrible. The venue and decor was decent, but still very overcrowded and the music was terrible. I knew SHYFX would be good but it was disappointing and (even though I like that music) it was the same for hours, no mix up of anything else. Wouldn’t recommend, not even for £10 and I paid £35!!! Do yourself a favour and get a cheaper ticket somewhere else that’s worth it

Me and me friends bought tickets for motion and I left the queue to ask the the bouncers how long the queue is and stand in the queue again. Once we reach them, they come at me saying that im rude and I should start the queue again because I came out. And when we reached the start of the queue, they humiliatingly removed us from the queue by the arms and disrespectfuly told us that he had better things to do than talk to me. When i told him that this was discriminating, he clearly told me that he doesnt care and i should leave and told me that I was rude when I was only trying to make my point. Extremely disrespectful and discriminating because I know for a fact I were a white person, this would not be a case

Class venue worth traveling to for a good event. Friendly helpful staff and security. Large outdoor paved area with food and drink stalls and a stage. Side alley stage. Large indoor space with stage and balcony. The smoking area has a river going around it and is actually a nice space to chill.
