Annie is incredibly easy to talk to, which makes every session feel safe, open, and comfortable. She has a gentle but very effective way of asking exactly the right questions ā the kind that help me reflect more deeply and understand myself better without ever feeling pushed or overwhelmed. I always leave our sessions feeling heard, understood, and genuinely supported. She creates a space where real progress feels possible, and Iām very grateful for her guidance.

Annie went above and beyond to help my family through a painful time, when we experienced family breakdown, bereavement, exam stress, and other mental health problems. Her support, encouragement, communication and flexibility were invaluable.

Unfortunately I did not have the best experience with Annie and as some other clients have already mentioned, did find her to be at times unprofessional and displaying a lack of self awareness. Some of her practices were triggering and as a victim of childhood trauma and abuse, it took me some time to undo this and realize that the things said to me during some of the sessions were triggering and caused me to regress. I will not go into too many details but this involved openly stating that I was "moody" and telling me to "work on" my face. It was also suggested on one occasion that I text her outside of the sessions about issues unrelated to my mental health, which I found to be quite informal and unboundaried. Lastly, I was surprised that Annie tried to diagnose me with a mental health condition, after only knowing her for a short time. This has since been disproven after a comprehensive assessment with a qualified professional (!) Hopefully her practice has changed since then but for the time being I would not recommend her.

Annie helped me so much earlier this year when I was overwhelmed and suffering from extreme anxiety. I now understand the root causes of my anxiety and am coping much better. I would highly recommend her services.

When I began seeing Annie I had just been turned away by an online counsellor who said that I needed more than she could provide. I had been diagnosed with severe depression, severe anxiety and PTSD following an extremely traumatic period of my life. I could barely function on a day to day basis. I could see no future without the constant pain, confusion, fear and distress that I was living with. Annie's empathy and kindness coupled with her professionalism and expertise has allowed me reach a place where I can not only see a future, but I can see that peace of mind is a part of now, and of that future. I genuinely did not think that anybody could help me to get anywhere back to being 'me', but she has. I cannot recommend her as a counsellor highly enough.

Annie is fantastic, I would not hesitate to recommend her. She is kind, fair and was able to quickly get to the cause of the issues and provide solid practical guidance on moving forward.

Annie has been an amazing support . She has a increasing workload due to her commitment to help children. She is devoted and inspiring to young people. We are very grateful to her for her role and the professional way she conducts herself. Without specialists like this we would have less chance to prevent or at least help to stabilise childrens mental health. I cannot thank you enough words cannot express how valued your role is.

I undertook roughly a year of CBT with Annie during the year of 2017. At the time I was dealing with depression/ anxiety issues that were affecting my undergraduate studies. I would say that I found her overall to be quite approachable and the sessions were flexible with regards to timing and price. It was nice that they were held in her home as well as this seemed more personable. The sessions themselves were helpful in dealing with some of the more superficial concerns that I had which were helped by increasing my understanding of certain behaviour patterns. At the time I was a bit taken aback by some of the comments used to challenge these, as some of these seemed a bit labelling and appeared to be pushing boundaries, however this may have been part of her therapy style. In the end I started a new job so was unable to maintain these sessions. I sent her a message to thank her for her help but did not receive a reply (this may be part of her working practice not to respond, so just to be aware)

I've had a good experience with counselling. Annie was gracious enough to offer a specific treatment for a recent traumatic experience, but which couldn't be completed. Though my case is not very typical, I can still say that with Annie's help, I have been able to work through some past grief that was lying dormant. Her space is very cosy and inviting and I hope to return in the future.
