I cannot thank enough all those that cared for me, anethertized me, operated on me, kept me safe during my stay for a triple heart bypass. Everything went well due to the due care and attention I received from the Cardiology team. 9 weeks post op I am progressing fast to recovery from the operation. Once again if you were part of the team that remembers me ? then a huge thank you to all of you. Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and a New Year.

My husband recently had surgery here. Wow, what an amazing place! He was there for five weeks and I was commuting twice a week from Swansea. Staff were amazing, nothing too much trouble. I stayed overnight with him twice (once in a relatives room and once on a put you up in his room due to the distance from home. Staff were always happy to answer questions and we were kept updated throughout. First rate care - bravo!

these people are super human, simple as that. I owe them my life, those of us who have been at our most vulnerable are forever in their debt, they are kind, on top of their game, attentive, reassuring, empathic and almost certainly dont do it for the money, i didnt meet one person who wasn't all of these things and the lady who cleaned the ward relentlessly always had a kind word and a smile, she played as big a part of my recovery as anyone...pay all of these people more money, give them whatever they want, never risk losing them.

Staff on c708 went above and beyond to make my sons stay a little easier. He suffers badly with anxiety due to many hospital stays. So I thank them for making this stay that much more easier

I was on ward c805 I can't thank them enough after being transferred from ICU after 6 days, it was a very hard and emotional time and learning my heart condition and how it was goto affect my life. There was one nurse MARTHA that was there with the support help and mainly the big cuddles I needed to get through the bad times. Thank you Martha for everything. Beverley Crouch

Went for a scan, everyone brilliant as you would expect. The only problem is getting there (Dec22). Went on foot as limited parking. You need to follow the access road on the left, sweeping downwards and not the pedestrians here sign on the wooden bridge opposite, which takes you to the building on the right. The entrance is behind the massive screened scaffolding. There is a small path on the left of the scaffolding. Lovely coffee shop just inside.

The feeling of being in safe hands whilst and after being blue lighted to The Bristol Heart Institute with severe chest pains at 03.40 on Saturday December 10th 2022. Gave me complete peace of mind. The incredible care over the next 7 days from the consultants Surgeons doctors and nurses was absolutely incredible. Surgery was undertaken via the artery in my thigh up to my heart where the procedure over 4 hours was a complete success. I would like to thank the whole team of dedicated care staff at Bristol Heart Institute ( N. H. S. ) for the incredible way in which I was kept informed of my situation at all times. I do have relatives in the U.S.A.who informed me that this care and surgery in America would have cost me $140.000.00. Cost to me. £ Nil. Thank you NHS Yours so gratefully David Ford (73 years)

Second visit to BHI. Nursing staff are fantastic, nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. But please do give them the respect and kindness they deserve. The Doctors and Consultants are amazing too. Thanks to all concerned in my treatment and aftercare.

I would not rate this private sector at all, when the DVLA sends them a medical form, one would expect them to make a appointment pronto, no not here it takes 2 receptionists to make 1 appointment and 3 months as when 1 is on holiday the other receptionist can not make a appointment for them, and don't expect a copy they clearly don't care about you, and then theres a nasty people like Zena Clothier who will not help you at all no one will, you will lose money and go out of work good luck to ypu all

My husband Ken was admitted on Wednesday 28 September. He received first rate care and the team of doctors and nurses could not have been more caring or compassionate. Sadly we lost him 3 days later but it was a peaceful end and I thank them all so much. On the final day my daytime nurse's name escapes me, a lovely Welsh lass who put Luther Vandross on YouTube for us, thank you lovely, it was such a blur but you were a real comfort. Our night nurse was Rita who supported me through the final hours, you lovely lady, you really helped me out until the end and saw me safely on my way home. Thank you to the entire team at the Heart Institute, you are all angels.
