I'd like to say as someone who went here previously, it's fantastic. I went here for an IT course a few years ago, and the teachers and tutors were very supportive. The wellbeing team are also really easy to talk to, and very friendly. I will say the though, in my opinion, the staff need more support. They shouldn't have to be walking in and out of lesson to supervise another class.

I was randomly very ill when I was supposed to take my English GCSE exam. I have photos of me at a hospital and brought in my prescription bottles as more proof. However, the administration board won't allow me to retake the exam which means I have basically failed my English GCSEs. I now have to repeat an entire year of college because they won't allow sick students to retake exams. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

DO NOT COME HERE When staff is ill or on maternity for long periods they don't have replacement staff and instead of not offering the course they are supposed to be teaching they hire random people with no idea of the course to "teach" and waste students time. Study spaces are limited and poor quality. If you are not planning on going to uni or apprenticeship your tutor will not care as there is no other options in their eyes. These along with MANY other issues I wish I would have known before committing to this college hopefully persuade to not do a levels here or teach here and pick somewhere else, with upcoming plans announced its only going to get worse!

Massive thanks to SGS College for encouraging and supporting me to complete my Access to Higher Educatiom Diploma in Health and Social Care course. I really didn’t think I could do it and one year sounded SO long, but it’s absolutely flew by! I had been out of eduction for ten years and I couldn’t imagine even completing the course let alone doing so well, but I did complete it in good time and better than I could have ever imagined! I have 2 young children and the access course was brilliant, just have to get yourself organised and you’ll do great!! Would 100% recommend SGS College for anyone thinking of taking a course or changing career. Cannot wait to start University now. Also, for those of you wanting to do a course to go to university after, you are likely eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan from the government who will pay the course fees for you, if you continue to University as planned no need to pay back, they wipe the loan! if you don’t continue to university then I believe you pay back in instalments? I was really worried about finance side of things and studying and working but you can contact sgs and they can walk you through all the money wise of things!

At the moment with covis 19, this college is rather quiet. The access to the college is restricted but still a lovely warm welcome at the reception. Covid is still disrupting the everyday activities at the college. Face masks must be worn in classrooms and canteen areas. Staff that attend to deliver face to face teaching are doing an excellent job in challenging times.I take my hat off to them all as they are doing their best.

What a joke this college is. My son is a adult course for plumbing. Not even enough tools for 7 students, he was told it would be theory but was practical so he didn't have his own tools with him. 3 hours to hang 2 radiators on the wall as couldn't find any tools. I feel sorry for anyone who actually passes this course as they don't have any knowledge of what they are being taught as they are shown once and then moved on to something else. DO NOT ATTEND THIS COLLEGE AS YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONIES WORTH.

Poor college, with staff who have very little experience and knowledge within certain areas of construction. Avoid if you want to be taught by staff with no trade experience.

I studied IT here a few years back. This is a wonderful college full of wonderful staff. I passed with really good grades and would recommend this college to anyone. I went to St. Brendans the year before attending Filton, and Filton wins by a mile. You can tell the staff at Filton care about their pupils and are really good at teaching. I fully recommend studying IT here!
