Great local Aldi to stock up on things and get all the basics.

Good shop, but the staff make it a poor shopping experience. Every time I’ve gone to the self checkouts (about six times now), I’ve been accused of shoplifting. For example, one member of staff literarlly shouted out “shoplifter” as I was walking over to the self checkouts area, then went quiet once I’d paid. On another visit, as I was heading to the payment screen a staff member said “you haven’t paid yet, where do you think you’re going?” After I paid, she quietly said “ah” and told me not to forget my receipt. Most of the staff also spend a lot of time talking on their headsets about things unrelated to work, such as going to the pub. They often do it while customers are nearby and even look at you while talking, which makes it feel unprofessional. When you ask them to repeat themselves, they either go silent or tap their headset and say “sorry, what did you say?” The security guard is usually on his phone speaking another language another than focusing on what’s happening in the store, and real shoplifters seem to go unnoticed. Overall, the prices are good but sadly the service really lets the place down.

Literally just finished my shop which came to just under £100 I don’t know what was wrong with the young lad that served us but he never once acknowledged us as customers When the shopping built up a bit as it does sometimes when trying to pack, he sat abruptly and stared in to space. At the end when it was time to pay he swung the card charger round for me to see the cost, again he said nothing. I have never experienced this in Aldi before, I found it rude and intimidating

Just been in today and wanted to Thank the lovely lady on shift who helped me on the self checkouts. I didnt catch her name but what she did for me is truly kind and selfless of her. Well done to you, and I will definitely pass on the deed when somebody else is in need.

Blaby Aldi is not my normal one I shop at, I normally shop at the Aldi in Meridian Leicester. I didn't get all I needed at the Blaby super market that's why I gave it 4 stars but it is located in a good place with lots of other shops to visit before your final shop, and the parking is free like most supermarkets. Yes I will visit again but go in the morning.

Parking can be a bit of a problem. You must enter your reg number before leaving to not get a fine. Clean , freindly and well run.

This is my go-to shop if I need anything then I will go here. The staff are very kind and the place is clean and amazing if you can't anything then don't hesitate to ask someone as they will help you and find if for you. I really would shop here even if you don't live in blaby then I would still shop here.

Popped in one dark night, I noticed the car park had a limited time for Aldi shoppers. Unfortunately I did know you have to enter your car registration after paying for your shopping. I wish I had gone to Asda. £40 charge, I feel cheated, very disappointed. I won't be shopping their again.
