Awful service. No smiles. Seems like staff that work there can’t smile, they seem like they don’t want to be there. It’s not fair on customers. It’s free to be kind. No need to be abrupt. Especially Ella. Rude person

Disappointing experience despite shopping at the coop for nearly 20 years. I am a carer and shopper for 92 year old man who I do shopping for. Just after Christmas I purchased some ready made meals cottage pie shepherds pie etc etc etc. I also purchased two musaka cooked one which he tried it’s was well over seasoned it was horrible I tried it and agreed with the pensioner. I went to the markfield store to return the item which was out of date and explained the situation. They were not very sympathetic and said they could not credit the item Β£6.50 because the best before date had expired. Well when I purchased it it only had few days left in any event. I have been shopping at the coop for nearly 20 years and with the experience I will avoid and go to the other supermarkets. When leaving I overheard the manager talking to another member of staff saying the product was out of date. The expiry date 29/12/2024 and the item was returned 13/01/2025 because it was passed to me by the pensioner who could not get out earlier. I would not recommend this product.

An excellent village midlands Co-op where, as always, carrying your membership card really pays off. There is ample parking to the rear and the opening hours are generous. The range of stock is rather limited but it carries more than just the essentials. The staff are quite helpful and polite so you don’t need to use the automated checkouts like some less welcoming places. There are often baked goods on offer, lots of cheeses, a little stationery, and usually fresh flowers outside. They stock a full range of newspapers but their magazine selection is rather downmarket. Sadly, there is only one aisle of fresh food, with far more space given over to alcohol, snacks, confectionary, processed meat and especially pet food. Overall, a vital grocery hub for the village, with reasonable prices IF you carry that card!

A very clean Coop, has everything you need for daily life, food, fruits, vegetables, ready meals, fresh meats, drinks (juice, pop, alcohol) sweets / cakes / treats / biscuits, cereals, fresh breads, sandwich meal deals, frozen food, toiletries, meds, cigarettes, Costa coffee machine, ice cream, flowers / plants, seasonal stuffs & a lot more. Staff was polite at the til. There are traditional check out and self check out with card payment only. Free parking, including disabled parking spaces. I can’t see any time limit. Good location in the village, on the Main Street and closes to all other shops and food places.

It's decent and most the workers are nice but one of them is really stuck up. To the black haired girl who served me a while back I hope both sides of your pillow are warm you nincompoop.

Not sure how people can slate out little coop. They’ve been amazing during the lock down and pandemic. What people forget is that this shop Ian used by several villages and can get busy. Staff always friendly and polite.

A convenient location. It's a pity the staff have not been trained appropriately. They are ignorant and have very little customer service skills. Even the duty manager Jess, couldn't even extract a hello, please or thank you out of her. Save for the fact that this store is convenient, i wouldn't bother going.

Your average coop, generally has what u need. The price are a little high but to be expected in a little village. Store is really clean and tidy and access is good. The in-store bakery is great with fresh pastry's and bread. Parking is sufficient for the size of the store and village too. The staff in-store are all friendly and for the most part service is fast too.
