Stood at counter, waiting to be served, whilst the assistant had a long chat with a friend. She then walked off and left me there. She then shouted someone else to serve me. But he was outside helping a customer. Funny thing was, the key was for the self service till was customer side of the till. We are not the only customers to have had issues.

Older members of staff need to be educated on the laws of this country. They keep telling that my assistant dog is not allowed to be in the store. They say I have to provide proof and my dog has to wear a badge as well. The 2010 disability act protects my dog and myself from this. The police, the dog warden cannot ask me for any proof either as it would be against the law. This has been the law for 15 years so there is no reason for them not to know the law. The area manager needs to deal with the dire staff by giving them their p45's or trying to educate them! Clearly a bunch of dumb people who have no idea of customer service or the law of the land. This is 4th time this has occurred to me! Really low I.Q. people who are employed by the central co-op. The worst part is that the local independent shop allows my dog in as they have educated themselves in regards to the disability act 2010!

The mean lady declined my membership card as it was apparently “too late to use the membership card” this lost me 25pence which is a lot of money for me.

Disappointed. Prices and offers are not the same as other stores in the area be warned. Staff are rude and should really explain and let you know this also . Asked questions of the staff and they just didn’t understand why I would be disappointed when the same products I pay for at one Coop were double the price at this coop ! Honestly a joke !

The shop itself is satisfactory. However recently I’ve came to notice that most lunch times during the week (possibly their busiest times!) they only have a single person on the till. Who more often than not doesn’t ring the bell for any assistance when there’s a queue of people. This then eats in to the local workers lunch times. Can this issue be addressed as it’s now becoming a regular occurrence.

Not bad shop for convenience goods as bit expensive. Sometimes have offers money off food then good buy. Wine pretty reasonable. Staff are nice pleasant.

This Coop in the village is good, shop is always clean, provides hand sanitiser, disposable masks once you get in, good offers, plenty of choices ~ fresh products, really meals, drinks, wines, juice, pet food, meds, fresh cakes & breads, tinned & dried food, desserts, snacks & sandwiches, plants, magazines & newspapers, cigarettes, masks, cleaning products, etc. Staff is always polite & helpful. Free parking, not many but story is not too big, so customers don’t stay in store for a long time. Donation banks & recycling bins (small ones) in carpark. Prices are slightly cheaper than another coop in village.

Staff here are rude and obnoxious. I've lived in Groby for 4 years and I can honestly say that 50% of the time I have been treated like I'm a nuisance. I prefer to go to Co Op on Launden Way as the staff there are lovely, but they had run out of a particular product. So this afternoon I went to this store and made a purchase, before payment I kindly asked if they offer cash back, the lady replied "yes" and then without giving me even a moment she rudely said "put your card in then" in a aggressive tone. This is just one example of many like this. Today it was a middle-aged lady with blonde hair, but the middle-aged lady manager with dark hair is even worse. But today was the icing on the cake. I spend roughly £125 per month at Co Op and feel that as a loyal customer I should be treated with respect.
