Came here for a works Christmas drinks. The manager couldn't do enough and made us feel very welcome. The food and drinks are amazing. I would highly recommend. If you make a reservation, they keep in touch and updated the whole way though. Very polite and everyone in the group will be coming back at some point.
I have been to Lazy Monkey about 4 times now and each time has surpassed my expectations. I have been here alone, with my other half and with our two children and have enjoyed each experience as much as the last. The food is absolutely top quality for flavour, even the naan is mouth watering. The portions are perfect and every mouthful is delicious. The cocktails are superb. Fresh, flavoursome and well priced. The staff are always polite, friendly and professional and make you feel welcome every single time. The venue itself has a lovely, warm vibe and you instantly feel relaxed and the music always pleases. We may not get here as often as we would like but we enjoy every visit and always leave with good memories and wanting to come back.
I had the lamb shank, and it was absolutely delicious—tender, falling off the bone, and served in a rich, flavorful sauce. The garlic naan was a bit thin, and the pilaf rice could have used more seasoning, but both worked well when paired with the sauce. The real highlight was the service: our waitress was attentive, bubbly, and full of energy—a true credit to the restaurant. Overall, a great experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
The experience was a 10/10. We ordered the chicken tikka which was amazing and had all the flavours and spices. I would also recommend having the Classic butter chicken which was very creamy and tasty. Our server was very proactive and professional and the vibe was great.
A great experience! Service was fantastic, quick and friendly. The place had a comfortable modern feel. I had the chicken bro burger, which was really nice. A side of pulled pork, which blew my mind. Already planning my next visit to make most of the cocktails and to try rest of the menu.
Very tasty Indian street food, portions are bigger than I thought! Good selection of cocktails at the bar, prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be coming back!
Went here for the first time on Saturday 25th January and I was very impressed. Decor is on point and the service was very quick and friendly. It was quite busy but easily found a seat. You order your food and drinks at the bar using your table number and pay straight away. Cocktails are brought to your table. I ordered a Chicken Tikka wrap with mint sauce and chips. The food arrived within 10 minutes and was very tasty and filling. Cocktails are £7.50 each or two for a tenner. I ordered two, of course! Would definitely come here again and I highly recommend it if you want quick, tasty Indian street food. The place is in easy reach of the city centre and the train station.
Great street food Idian & East Asian fusion, tapas style quickly served, fresh and really tasty. 2 or 3 dishes reasonably priced makes a great meal. Cracking Cocktails 2 for £ 10 and delicious Stout from Cork and IPA helped wash it down. Food only served until about 9 though so need to get in early. Will definitely go again.
Good menu choices and tasty food. Nice portion size and cost ok too. Shame I have to drive home or I would have a had a couple of cocktails 2 for £10 all day.
